The company is dealing in the products and services related to sensing and measurement technology. In the role of Finance Controller, I have overall responsibility to control company’s financial operation, includes financial reporting, auditing, budgeting and handle administrative issues. Key responsibilities are:
• Preparation and Finalization of Accounts
• Management reports
• Establishing budgets of each year with the coordination of management.
• Ensure that all expenditures are in-line with budget limits.
• Preparation of Financial and operational feasibility for new ventures.
• Liaison with External Auditors and ensure the smooth completion of annual audit.
• Letter of Credit and Export documentation.
• General administrative matters.
The company is a SPV under Public Private Partnership arrangement with the Provincial Government of Sindh in Pakistan, for the Construction of dual Carriage Road between Hyderabad city & Mirpurkhas city. The project was tied-up with many Government and Financial Institutions compliance and in the role of Finance and Accounts manager, I was responsible to manage company financials in accordance with the regulatory and statutory requirement of the Project. Key responsibilities were:
• Ensuring that the company financials are in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IAS & IFRS).
• Preparation and finalization of Group Financial Accounts for half yearly and annual statutory audit.
• Preparation and submit monthly budget variance reports, for the verification from project Independent auditors.
• Coordination and liaison with External auditor and Independent Auditor of the Project, and responsible to handle audit findings and ensure the smooth finalization of audit processes.
• Coordinating with all stakeholders includes Government bodies, Financial Institutions and other stakeholders of the Project.
• Cash Flow Management.
• Ensuring Tax Compliance and coordination with tax consultant.
Mazyood Giga is the part of Giga Group of Companies based in Dubai. The group has many different joint ventures with world renowned Real Estate developers, such as Emmar, Al-Ghurair and DHA. I was working under the Group CFO. Key responsibilities included
- Preparation of business plans and financial feasibilities for real estate projects.
- Reporting on Variances analysis to the management.
- Coordinating with banks in terms of financing arrangement, bank Guarantees, etc.
Started my career with Lakhany group, which is a renowned name of Textile industry of Pakistan.
I joined this company as an assistant in Import Department and later on was promoted.
Key responsibilities included
• Manage import function of entire Group (consist of four companies)
• Preparation and handling of Letter of Credits.
• Coordination with Banks, Suppliers, Indenters and Custom agents.
• Preparation of Import Goods costing report for the management.
• Assist CEO in Administrative matters.
