Mission of the position:
Under the leadership of the National Programme Development Director (NPDD), the National Youth Care Manager drives programme development in the field of Youth Care in line with the “Vision, Mission, Values”, the Brand and approved strategies, policies and plans of the organisation and national legislation. As a member of the national programme development department, she/he contributes to setting and reaching the strategic objectives and targets of the MA in the area of youth care, youth development, empowerment, employment, and participation including YouthCan! and YouthLinks!, and monitors and evaluates progress towards achieving set targets. She/he provides technical expertise and content-wise leads SOS Children’s Village Programme members such as the Local Youth Coordinators, Local Semi-Independent Living Program Coordinators, and Youth Leaders in planning, implementing and monitoring of programme interventions in the area of Youth Care. The YCA is responsible for introducing and monitoring the implementation of quality standards in the area of Youth Care and PDB2 for Youth Care. Content wise, the YCA receives guidance from the regional Unit Head/Advisor. As a member of the regional Alternative Care network the YCA shares good practices and experiences with colleagues from other MAs.
The Care Leavers Coalition Manager will have the responsibility of setting up and launching a Care Leavers Coalition in Jordan alongside public, private, and not for profit partners, in order to provide careleavers in Jordan with wellbeing and employability services and support.
Key performance areas:
1. Lead the set up and launch of the Care Leavers Coalition
• Set up Coalition with founding members, and conduct stakeholder mapping to mobilize other members and partnerships.
• Developing and maintaining a database of all care leavers in Jordan in collaboration with MoSD and other members and partners.
• Contribute to recruiting, selecting and on-boarding of social/youth workers for the Coalition.
• Contribute to the development of a branded identity for the Coalition, and lead on a public and media Coalition launch.
• Devleop case management standard operating procedures, including initial and continuous needs assessment, referral processes and services provided etc.
2. Coordinate the day to day activities of the Coalition
• Ensures registration of all care leavers and conducting initial needs assessments, in collaboration with the social/youth workers.
• Ensure service provision as well as referrals to other Coalition members and partners, in collaboration with the social/youth workers.
• Leads on developing a monitoring and evaluation plan with Coalition members and partners, and ensures implementation.
• Designs capacity building material and facilitates capacity building sessions for youth / coalition staff, in collaboration with Coalition members and partners.
• Ensures documentation, filing, and archives.
3. Ensure the growth and sustainability of the Coalition
• Leads on identifying potential funding streams and writing proposals.
• Writes reports and develops relevant presentations.
4. Participates in relevant national/international conferences and represents SOS or the Coalition in matters related to care leavers and aftercare.
Support the day-to-day implementation of the youth care and development activities in Jordan. As a member of the national programme development department, she/he contributes to setting and reaching the strategic objectives and targets of the MA in the area of youth care and development (including empowerment, employment, and participation), and monitors and evaluates progress towards achieving set targets.
1. Supports the day-to-day implementation of the Youth Care Programme:
• Contributes to implementation of components of the youth care programme including but not limited to Rifaq Mentoring Programme and all employability related activities such as YouthCan! and YouthLinks! global SOS projects.
• Contributes to building new partnerships within the public, not-for profit, and private sector, including raising funds for employability activities.
• Contributes in conducting monitoring and evaluation of components of the different programes.
• Contributes to desk research for potential projects and participates in conducting research relevant to alternative care / youth care / child protection / social protection in the Jordan and MENA contexts.
• Contributes in drafting reports and programme presentations.
• Contributes to designing capacity building material and facilitates some capacity building sessions for youth / programme staff.
• Contributes to recruiting, selecting and on-boarding of volunteers for the different programmes.
• Supports in programme documentation, filing, and archives.
• Supports in programme related logistics.
2. Participates in relevant national/international conferences and represents SOS Jordan in interagency meetings such as Protection (CP and GBV) Working Groups / Livelihoods Working Group / Youth Community of Practice.
3. Child Safeguarding (CS):
• Responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination
• Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures.
During my work experience at DAA I worked on the Word Food Program (WFP), IsDB, Irish aid and UNICEF projects, which included the following tasks:
• Participate in developing the operational plan for the program, in cooperation with the program director, to ensure the achievement of the program's objectives.
• Contribute to developing the work plan and procedures and verifying their implementation in order to ensure the smooth and flexible flow of operations.
• Organizing, preparing and following up work plans, visiting schedules and field surveys for the program in order to ensure the achievement of the program’s objectives within the specified time frame and with the highest possible quality.
• Preparing studies related to occupations related to market needs in order to identify the required job opportunities in the market and qualify the beneficiaries on them.
• Implementation and follow-up of the necessary visits with the stakeholders in order to provide suitable job opportunities for the beneficiaries.
• Follow up the preparation of weekly work progress reports (as needed) to summarize the most important results to ensure that the program manager is aware of the progress of work and the most important developments.
• Follow up on the work of subordinates and submit work and achievement reports (weekly, monthly and daily) to the program director in order to track the percentage of achievement achieved and to ensure that the program director is aware of the employees' performance levels.
• Acting as an initial and ongoing contact between the customer and company for repair and maintenance service.
• Greeting customers, accurately identifying vehicles problems and service needs, recording customers’ requirements and details by filling a job order.
• Diagnoses and repairs vehicles accurately within a reasonable timeframe and with a quality of work that exceeds customer expectations.
• Prepare professional technical reports and communicate with the regional office technical support department.
• Prepare detailed reports for warranty repairs and provide them to the warranty department.
• Supervise technicians and provide them with the needed technical and product training.
• Observes and follows all necessary safety regulations when operating machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Assist in design and develop training programs in order to bridge the gap between the employ-ability of youth and the needs of the local and regional job markets.
- Order training supplies and materials to enhance the training program.

Worked in the schools exams department where I performed the following tasks:
• School Exams administrative services in preparation for examinations sessions according to defined quality standards.
• Delivering external and internal events for the Examinations Services.
• Carry out exams venue management duties.
• Support in managing the customer satisfaction process.
• Managed the process of organizing the events from identifying the needs, coordinating with hotels and training venues, raising the purchase orders, inviting the training team and any other preparations needed.
