• Manage all the aspects of the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the organization, including the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
• Contribute in the human resources management activities, such as hiring, talent management and compensation & benefits.
• Produce, analyse and explain all management reporting on P&L including monthly explanation of all variances to budget, previous forecasts and prior year at the agreed timeliness.
• Budgeting, tracking and controlling of overheads for all the functions, as well as the UK accounts.
• Produce, analyse and explain all financial information of BAT Algeria Company Plan and produce all financial sections and all narratives for it.
• Contribute to the development of an integrated business strategy in respect of portfolio, pricing, excise, trade remuneration and marketing investment.
• Lead the financial preparation of the annual marketing Company Plan, providing insights into financial resource allocation decisions based on portfolio strategy and on the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing investments.
• Prepare ccurate monthly actual and forecasts reports for volumes and P&L.
• Liaise with Financial Accounting regarding taxation forecasting.
• Prepare reconciliation and recording of differences between management accounts and financial accounts.

Naftal is the national company selling petroleum-based fuels for domestic consumption in Algeria. This internship was related to my graduation thesis entitled: Assessment of the financial profitability of service station x in the East-West Freeway.
The internship allowed me to enlarge my knowledge especially in the field of financial management of mega projects.
I have worked in three different areas in the finance department which are:
• Commercial Finance: I expended my knowledge in the domain of sales, relationship with banks.
• Marketing Finance: I learned about financial management of marketing activities.
