• Study General contract agreement, tender technical drawings and particular specification.
• Prepare Manpower budget including the required staff, tools and materials.
• Attend the kickoff meetings with the authorities, clients, and consultants to build good relations and to understand the required procedures
for future correspondence.
• Raise technical query for any conflict information within the project technical document.
• Assist Project Manager in advising on construction methodologies in coordination with other disci-plines/contractors/ subcontractors prior to
construction.
• Supervise preparation of full detailed shop drawings required to execute the project.
• Engage with planning department to define project activities within the scope of work
• Materials take off and requisition from contract IFC drawings.
• Engage with procurement and planning departments for defining the materials required to execute the project and provide the technical
support required to select the proper materials.
• Review technical submittal of materials and ensure its compliance with project specifications.
• Follow up in obtaining of drawings and materials approvals.
• Supervise the construction in terms of proper method, material reservation and optimum output of labor
• Follow up site progress activities for distribution substation such as equipment installation, cable laying, cable splicing and termination
• Monitoring of Subcontractor’s performance.
• Follow up in obtaining permits from authorities to do testing and commissioning for power network and electrical systems including of like HV
switchgears, Transformers, Ring Main Unit, LV switchgears, RTU and DC systems as per ADDC standards.

• Preparing & review of technical material submittals from suppliers and ensure compliance with ADDC, ADM & ADWEA specifications.
• Generate method statement for all related electrical works
• Coordinating and liaising with all stakeholders (consultant/authority) on technical matters.
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of ADDC, ADWEA and ADM specifications.
• Coordination with site teams for progress activity such as equipment installation in substation & cable laying (MV/LV & FOC).
• Assist Project Manager in advising on construction methodologies in coordination with other disciplines prior to start activity.
• Coordinating with the authorities/consultant for approvals, permits, schedule of testing and some other related inputs and interfaces.
• Witness & coordinates technical issues during FAT of substation equipment RMU, TRANSFORMER, LV PANEL, DMS-RTU, FOC & CABLES.
• Witness site TESTING & COMMISSIONING of all substation equipment.
• Knowledge of design documents preparation and review of 22kV, LV networks and substation design, including but not limited to SLD, protection scheme, control & signal cables and shop drawings.
