Responsibilities: Al-Awlawiya provides transport and manpower services to its clients within and out of Kuwait. Usually provides, half Lorries with box, reefers, 6 wheel trucks, passenger buses etc. Following are the main areas of responsibilities;

• Maintaining fleet of approx. 100 vehicles, 100 drivers and laborers.

• Makes sure drivers and labors report in time and follow safety procedures which are set by our clients.

• Meet with available drivers and laborers in order to recall the importance of following Safety rules and driving safe.

• Set the training programs for new drivers and/or for the new projects’ requirements.

• Organizes vehicles’ inspection in order to get their registration renewals.

• Makes sure the documentation is accurate and proper for renewal of assets.

• Periodically meet our existing clients in order to take their feedback concerning our services. Making sure our clients receive vehicles every day on the scheduled time, the vehicles are in good condition and report to workshop in case of any maintenance requirements.

• Meet new clients to sell our services.

• Prepare reports of new clients, and keep in touch with them on regular basis for upcoming business opportunities.

• Prepare reports of assets and manpower utilization on daily basis for management review.

Assistant Manager at KGL Transportation Company.

Responsibilities: Manpower Resource Department supports at central level. Handled issues of approx. 1600 drivers & staff working for KGLTC. Managed drivers from the time they arrive in Kuwait until stay with KGLTC. Used to handle employees’ documentation concerning leave, duty resumption, resignation, termination, transfer, violation and deduction etc. Used to organize to prepare a weekly presentation to present higher management which based on consolidated records of manpower being used that also helps them to make business decisions. Used to assist HR for recruitment, had trips out of Kuwait for the same. Took care mainly the following areas;

Coordination with Human Resource Department:
•Used to assist HR department in order to process employees’ residency, CID & Driving License. Provide support to concerned departments wherever physical appearance of new arrived candidates is required i.e. Medical, Finger Prints, Driving test & deportation etc.
•Handle payroll & Personal issues.

Project Support:
•As KGL provides various transportation services like, FB, LB, Tippers and Tankers therefore we made sure that driver is trained for the specific equipment and well aware about the project’s requirement. Maintained drivers’ training records.
•Made sure that driver resides to camp which is nearest to its work place.
•Supported projects with drivers’ requirement on day to day basis for Kuwait and US Military Projects especially HEAVY LIFT 7.

Coordination with Finance Department:
•Due to fluctuation in business requirements projects support each other with their manpower. Being on central position, we track down all the movements of employees within projects and prepare monthly report for Finance department in order to cross charge their salaries to each project.
•Used to provide consolidated data to finance of trips that each driver makes in a month in order to enable finance to verify the revenue generated by each project.
