Key Achievements:
• Business Process Re-engineering for the Operations, Marketing and CIS2 team.
• Re-defined Jobs and de-centralised decision making to reduce direct mail campaigns by 50% from 18 week to 9 weeks.

Co-operative Group May 2009 - November 2009
Role: Business Analyst
Key Achievements:
• Undertook an Audit on the Risk Policy across the Co-operatives businesses. Reporting into the Director of Finance & Risk and Director of Strategic Planning.
• Identified potential risks to the brand through the merger and external threats including assessment of the market competition.
• Defined a new market risk strategy for the new merged Co-op Group on all aspects of the systems, processes, responsibilities, roles and governance structure.
• Resulted in The Co-op changing its current risk strategy and governance structure within the Group to one of best practise and strategic fit embedding Risk into the business planning process.


Thurrock Council Jan 2009 - Apr 2009
Role: Business Analyst
Key Achievements:
• Thurrock council was rated as a 2 star council and was inefficient in how it delivered services to its constituents.
• Documented the ’As-Is’ business processes used to deliver the service through workshops and understanding the wider stakeholders, procedures, documentation, interfaces and responsibilities.
• This resulted in action plans to focus on the customer and Improve the level of service delivered by Thurrock Council to it’s constitutes whilst streamlining internally.

National Trust August 2008 - December 2008
Role: Business Analyst
Key Achievements:
• Responsible for managing the benefits case and driving the costs out of a site consolidation between front and back office.
• Resulted in over £2mil of Cost Savings for the New Target Operating Model.

• Negotiated with buyers to develop National Retail Accounts with Tesco’s, Ocado, Nisa, Booths and grew sales to £1.5mil over 5yrs.
• Increased sales in a Single account by 178% in 1 yr by planning all promotional activity
• Develop CRM system and Sales literature and training of Commission only sales people
• Reduced print costs by 30% by off-shoring printing to the Far East improving quality and removing origination and set-up costs
• Outsourced manufacturing to 3 sites and reduced costings by a further 28%
• Reducing stock holding from 8 weeks to 3 weeks and profiling of stock to maintain service levels at 95%
• Released cash from an under-funded business by the following:
o Negotiating with suppliers to share risk and take on purchasing of packaging.
o Reduced Stock holding by 100% and negotiated with suppliers to offer a call off situation for billing.
o Put in place a selective invoice discounting facility outside of bank lending to increase credit facilities.

Responsibilities:
• Production of management accounts, cash flow forecasts and business plans.
• Production of sales forecasts & marketing budgets.
• Producing all financial information for Sales team including costings, margins, over-riders, triggers, promotions for all products in the business.
• Tendering process including procurement, selection and negotiation with new suppliers.

• Managing service levels through the supply chain for availability, storage and distribution

• Designed and develop a complex capacity planning model in Excel for a network of 200 warehouses to understand costings and operational inefficiencies.
• Undertook a benchmarking exercise to evaluate the potential cost savings on stock value, storage & distribution and resources across the network.
• Used sensitivity analysis to identify potential scenarios and minimise the cost base taking into account closure costs and impact on SLA’s.
• Wrote and presented business case to the Board that resulted in £12 mil savings and improved SLA’s.

Compaq
Key Achievements:
• Business Analyst for a Project improvement project across 14 countries. Defined requirements for capturing opportunities and measuring benefits.
• Provided analysis for all Field consultants to capture Cost Savings and managed traceability within the team.
• Developed a Benefits tracking system in Access to prioritise and report findings to the Steering committee. This tool is now a standard part of all Performance Improvement projects.
• Resulted in £32 mil of cost savings being established and measured for presentation to the board.

Cable & Wireless
Key Achievements:
• Managed the Programme / Project Office for the introduction of a new Global website www.cw.com
• Updated project plans, risk and issue registers.
• Managed all Change Controls raised by the businesses and all relevant data within central data repository.
• Resulted in a £50mil project being delivered on time and budget to the satisfaction of the board.
