As an OSP engineer, means I will be the 'eyes and ears of the network'. In this management role, I'll be actively engaged in the planning, design and implementation of various network systems utilizing OSP Engineering. OSP engineer jobs are multifaceted-I'll oversee the deployment and enhancement of telecommunications-related hardware and services to keep a lifeline between customers and the people important to them. If there's a dropped call or severe weather condition, I help create a technology solution. I'll develop designs and as-built drawings, specifications, estimates, and reports to ensure that new installations are on-time and within budget.
• Conduct site inspection to check if the work rendered followed the company standards.
• Supervises testing and acceptance activities with contractors to check if standard installation were met.
• Supervise and/or conduct trouble shooting activities and ensure proper protocols are executed.
• Conduct Fiber Optic Cable Testing (Power Meter and OTDR).
• Conduct Fiber Optic Cable trouble shooting.
• Initiate work schedule on priority area.
• Monitor daily and weekly accomplishment.
• Perform other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.
• Allocate work and responsibilities to Project Engineers/Supervisors and deploy supervisor according to the needs of the area.
• Overall supervision of all construction activities including monitoring of site acquisition and permitting works.
• Initiate work schedule on priority area.
• Monitor daily and weekly accomplishment. Prepare and administer the budget for operation department.
• Assumes over-all coordination with regards to construction progress of on-going projects.
• Prepare periodic cost evaluation and estimates related both the over-all budget and preliminary allocations of the budget.
• Prepare work schedule. Provide a detailed schedule for the implementation of the project.
• Review drawings and standard specifications, and engineering for the purpose of advising site condition, appropriate material alternates, possible cost implications for both material and labor cost.
• Attend meeting to client to discussed progress, problem and schedules.
• Liaise with client acceptance group on all testing and acceptance of OSP works.
• Provide solution to problems that may cause delay and formulate strategies to facilitate early completion of project.
• QA/QC site ready for Provisional Acceptance Test (PAT)/Final Acceptance Test (FAT)
• Allocate work and responsibilities to Project Engineers/Supervisors.
• Overall supervision of all construction activities including monitoring of site acquisition and permitting works.

• Prepare reports/documents required by client and company for projects(e.g. Weekly Accomplishment Report, OSI Monitoring, BOQ)
• Perform other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.
