Job Responsibilities for Piping / Welding
• Inspection are carried according to Project Specification, Quality Control Procedure, Inspection and Test Plan and International Standard, mainly on all welding activities involved for the fabrication of piping spools in shop and on the field installation which includes tie-in jobs to all piping contained within modules, packages or sub-assemblies and on plant equipment.
• Ensure that all materials used for fabrication and welding parameters conform to the project specification requirements, scope of works as per approved drawing for construction.
• Control and maintain record such as NDT percentage, welder percentage, material traceability, alloy verification.
• Conduct daily routine checks on all welding activities if welding parameters in applicable WPS have been achieved such as bevel tolerances, cleaning, welding consumables type and size, welder qualification, welding equipment condition, pre-heating (if required) and inter-pass temperature requirement, electrical characteristics (amp-volts) welding speed, welding size, welding sequence as well as PWHT (if required).
• Random visual inspection on all welded joints and review daily welding reports and schedules NDT, PWHT and hardness test as per required based on piping NDE matrix.
• Interpretation of radiographic film ( RT )
• Prepare discrepancy report on observations during routine inspection.
• Review test package and conduct walk-through inspection, prepare punch list.
• Witnessing hydro-test / pneumatic test.
• Monitoring onsite HSE performance of production/projects contractors’ in line with company HSE requirements, regulatory requirements, best industrial practices etc.
• Pre-Commissioning Inspection activities like Leak Test with Dry Air and checking Dew Point, O2 check after nitrogen filled inside the line.
