Job Responsibilities for Piping / Welding
• Inspection are carried according to Project Specification, Quality Control Procedure, Inspection and Test Plan and International Standard, mainly on all welding activities involved for the fabrication of piping spools in shop and on the field installation which includes tie-in jobs to all piping contained within modules, packages or sub-assemblies and on plant equipment.
• Ensure that all materials used for fabrication and welding parameters conform to the project specification requirements, scope of works as per approved drawing for construction.
• Control and maintain record such as NDT percentage, welder percentage, material traceability, alloy verification.
• Conduct daily routine checks on all welding activities if welding parameters in applicable WPS have been achieved such as bevel tolerances, cleaning, welding consumables type and size, welder qualification, welding equipment condition, pre-heating (if required) and inter-pass temperature requirement, electrical characteristics (amp-volts) welding speed, welding size, welding sequence as well as PWHT (if required).
• Random visual inspection on all welded joints and review daily welding reports and schedules NDT, PWHT and hardness test as per required based on piping NDE matrix.
• Interpretation of radiographic film ( RT )
• Prepare discrepancy report on observations during routine inspection.
• Review test package and conduct walk-through inspection, prepare punch list.
• Witnessing hydro-test / pneumatic test.
• Monitoring onsite HSE performance of production/projects contractors’ in line with company HSE requirements, regulatory requirements, best industrial practices etc.
• Pre-Commissioning Inspection activities like Leak Test with Dry Air and checking Dew Point, O2 check after nitrogen filled inside the line.
Job Responsibilities for HDPE / SNG Piping
• Review of material inspection
• Monitoring / Review internal cleaning document
• Witnessed Bonded Joint
• Monitors bonding process and carry out visual inspection after curing
• Checks spigots after shaving
• Checks joints as per the specified drawing
• Monitors over wrapping process and accepts visually
• Review of test package and release for hydro test or leak test
• Witness line inspection
• Witness hydro or leak test
• Witness reinstatement check
• Release for final back filling
• To ensure that all operated equipment are maintaining in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance (PM) System.
• To travel between all rigs located in the country of operation and provide inspection support and onsite assistance when required.
• Conducting major maintenance inspections of the rig(s) and maintaining records of those.
• Preplan operational needs; organize inspection parties, materials, equipment and supplies.
• To organize, support the inspection activities by assisting for preparing requisitions for material and supply’s.
• To organize, major modification, installation projects, CAT-IV inspection, arranges the OEM/API accredited parties to complete the requirements.
• Providing support in troubleshoot, Cat-III, CAT-IV inspection in Drilling & hoisting equipment’s (API RP 7L & API RP 8B) and Well servicing structure ( API RP 4G ).
• Update and monitor critical equipment inspection tracker list & certificates for each rig in country operation.
• Ensure all work is performed within the requirements and guidance of the company procedure.
• Eliminate any waste and establish a cost conscious planning effort within the area of responsibility.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with appropriate regulatory bodies industry forums, competitors and suppliers to stay current with the technical development
• Material Receiving Inspection, Verification of Mill Certificates for compliance with Purchase Order and Project Specification requirements, assisting the Stores to identify nonconforming materials and preparation of necessary NCRs.

• Interpretation of code and Standards such as API 4F/RP4G, API 2C/RP 2D, API 6A, API 16A, API 16C, API 16D, API 5CT, API 5D, API 7-1, API 7-2, API RP 7G / RP 7G-2, DS-1, ASME IX, ASME B31.1 / B31.3, ASME SEC VIII, AWS D1.1.
• Rotary equipment’s inspection, refurbishments and recertification as per API 7K/RP 7L & API 8C/RP 8B.
• Coordination and control of inspectors and inspection services for all discipline inspections within assigned project.
• Liaising with and advising production supervision on matters related to project management and error prevention.
• Analysis of project production activity with regard to quality defects and reporting the analysis to the QA/QC Manager.
• Execution of all required inspections within their assigned project and recording the results of inspections.
• Coordination, Review and Submission of final “as built” quality related documentation.
MAJOR IN-HOUSE & OUT STATION PROJECT’S
• NDC -Makasib new build Jack up rig with Cameron Letourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design
• 3000 HP New build land rigs project with leading designer AKER MH (PYRAMID) for Weatherford Drilling Int’l ( WDI Rig- 870 & WDI Rig- 871 ).
• Project team leader for major Onsite upgrades, Modification, troubleshoots in drilling rigs in GCC, Africa & Asia zone.
• Above 50 Land Rig’s completed CAT IV Survey as per API RP 4G recommendations for major leading Oil Field companies in all over GCC, Asia and Africa zone.
• Above 13 Land Rig’s system refurbishment completed as per recommended API, AWS and ASME codes.
• Preparing Quality Control Plan and Liaise with client, third party for Approval.
• Material inspection and reviewing Certificates
• Preparing WPS and Qualifying welders.
• Releasing WPS and welders name for the specified Project.
• Monitoring electrodes and their backing condition on a daily basis.
• Inventory of all consumable used for different welding process like GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, FCAW
On weekly basis.
• Assessing personnel on welding process like GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW.
• Assessing the safety factor before, during and after welding.
• Checking all documents, and material prior to welding
• Checking fit-up, Dimention, Edge preparation & condition, Pre-heating requirement before welding.
• Checking welding parameter and welding technique during welding.
• Checking the equipment condition and its calibration certificate.
• Visual inspection after welding.
• Checking post cleaning, dimentional accuracy and PWHT requirement.
• Checking for NDT requirements according to Client Specification or Drawing.

• API 4G Cat-IV Survey Inspection in Oman for SCHLUMBERGER Drilling.
• Worked as a QC engineer for NORBE VI semi-submersible (ODEBRECHT oil & gas) during voyage from UAE.
• Coordination of the NDT Team.
• Able to manage the NDT work independently as well as team work.
• Good Knowledge in welding process.
