Project: NPP0064: New Port Project, Mesaeed, Qatar.
Cost: $100 million (three buildings)
Scope: Construction of 3 buildings and ancillary Infrastructure. I worked as site engineer at Mwani
Building. The triangular building of 10000m2 with 9 floors.
I was part of the construction supervision team. My responsibilities are as follows.
• Reviewing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) proposed for construction.
• Inspecting structural and civil works for approval.
• Recommending alternative structural detailing and construction
procedure for easy implementation.
• Managing non-conformances and recommending appropriate corrective or preventive actions.
• Coordinating construction inspections between the relevant trades
• Overseeing building construction and infrastructural works to ensure the required quality is
achieved in the scheduled time.
• Conducting routine site inspections and coordinating them with other relevant disciplines
• Preparing progress and quality reports for construction activities.
• Ensure all work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection being undertaken.
Project 1: JW Marriott Hotel Tower, (Multi-storey, Built up area: 119, 000m2)
JW Marriott is a 51-storey building with 3 basements of car parks. The mainframe is concrete with
composite sections of structural steel and concrete in the main tower.
Project 2: Mixed Use Project, (Multi-storey, Built up area: 110, 000m2, $90M)
This project is made up of two eight-storey buildings with three basements of car parks. The foundation
is made of a raft slab on bored piles. The main frame of the building is reinforced concrete and the slabs
are post-tensioned. Gypsum boards and concrete blocks will be used for partitions.
Project 3: ASHGAAL Schools
The three schools project was part of a larger government programme.

building permits from the council, design and build them accordingly. My responsibilities include:
