Duties and responsibilities:
In charge to the Purchase order of welding materials
Responsible for the Inspection of incoming material and reviewing the test certificates.
Responsible for checking the packing condition and physical appearance of the welding material and compare to the record on the CMTR (Certificate Material Test Report)
Responsible to the documents and control log of the welding materials.
Involved in preparation and implementation of ITP, Procedures, Method Statement, WPS and PQR and WPQ
Witnessing and Approval of Mechanical Test like-Tensile test, Bend test, Impact test and Macro Examination
Establishing and maintain an effective communication within the company, client and sub-contractor.
Educate trainee in proper communication using welding terminology
Teach the welder on the importance of the WPS, and why it shall be followed.
Monitor and perform the initial and periodical evaluation of each welder’s performance prior to the Qualification test.
Checking the CMTR of the base materials, Filler material, Identification of the welder and applicable WPS.
Responsible for the Welder Qualification Test and the notification of all QC Inspectors.
In charge of maintaining the data base of all Welders Certificate and Qualification test.
Surveillance of welding works according to Applied WPS, Drawings, Applicable codes, and Project specification

Duties and responsibilities:
Conducting Welder’s training on site
Check fit-up, and other Variable of welding before, during and after welding as per specification
Demonstrate a good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity in actual welding
Educate the welder in proper communication using welding terminology
Train welder about occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable while working on shop / site.
Verify, witness, evaluate and interpret welding specimen
Conducting visual inspection
Witnessing Welding parameters & Procedure Qualification.
Material Inspection as per test certificate.
Checking Consumable base in specification, condition including pipe/plates traceability/
Identity and welding consumable identity as per codes and standard.
Conducting Welders Performance Qualification Test as per Code & Standard
Maintain the Welder Continuity LOG.
Inspection of welding work if it is complying to the WPS, Drawings, Project specification and Applicable codes.
Co-ordination for NDE activities
Review the Radiographs reports to ensure the acceptability to specification
Preparation of all inspection reports & documentation of Quality records

Doing welding jobs and fabrication
Always Check the dredger when it goes up
Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind

Upkeep of workshop area and equipment, control of tools and consumable such nuts,
Bolts, steel stock, welding gases, tools and equipment readily available all at time.
