I have worked on creating a strategy department responsible for transforming the Huawei services delivery capabilities. During this I have received the Huawei Credential of Honor as the 2011 consultant, working on the creation of a new department responsible for:
• Delivery strategy and business plan: Guided by the strategy of the company and the GTS sector, responsible to develop for Huawei delivery operations the strategic plans and business plans, provide support to the success of company strategy target, and maintain the continuous development of the delivery business
• Marketing Observations: Responsible for Marketing observation of telecom industry, research on Telecom development tendency, develop delivery competition analyze and strategy management, and provide constructive suggestion for delivery business development.

• Sub- contractor management practices: Responsible for the regional sub-contractor management, participating in the improvements of sub-contractor quality management leading to continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.

I was also the representative of the services strategy in the Project management Steering Committee that convenes bi-weekly, the director for project management summit and the head of the business planning committee.

Head of Network Deployment and Control department at Etisalat

Heading six sections, Projects deployment, Core and infrastructure deployment, Fiber Network deployment, ISP(Internet services) deployment, Program management office, and commercial control office, thus completing the full technical scope of managing, implementing and controlling of the Etisalat Network in Egypt. During this period I was the sponsor and the head of management for the Ericsson Netwrok Management program, designing the merger of Managed Services teams with the Network Expansion and deployment teams, thus enhancing availability and planned outage times

In addition to my position as Senior manager for Etisalat projects in Egypt and all its ongoing activities, including the Ph4 and Ph5 projects I accepted and successfully implemented the task force of creating a Program Management office (PMO) for all the technical department of Etisalat, taking into its work description a sub-section that manages all the logistics activities of the technical department, all the technical fixed assets, all the technical contracts management, budgeting and cost control, process management as well as vendor/contractor management. Through the PMO I was the head of the steering committee for the Network Optimization Program, and Network Availability Program, following up and creating complete scopes and processes and plans for with the main managed services vendors (Huawei and Ericsson)

This included the 3 consecutive phases of roll out of the network following the launch (Ph2, Ph3, and Ph4 during which we managed to build over 2050 physical site all around Egypt, covering 93% of the population)

Responsible for the program management for the third license project in Egypt. Controlling and planning the project to launch the network (Phase 1 project, to which we won the best new entrant network in 2007). Reporting to the CTO, the project target was establishing a full operator’s network covering to 75% of the population and technical departments before end of 03/07.
