Help Age International with partners conducted a needs assessment for the elderly people, after the 8-days war on Gaza strip in November 2012, 318 older people in Gaza Governorates were included in this assessment and the main tasks of my consultancy is:
• Defining the number of elderly people who got affected after the 8 days war on Gaza strip in November 2012, and determining the types of violence that they affected by, focusing on the physical & psycho-social damages in order to define the best ways to for rapid response in emergency assistance to the elderly.
• Providing information about which areas has most affected elderly, and to determining the elderly vulnerable groups.
• Analysing and extracting the data given to produce a final report including all charts and statistical reports as needed by Help Age International management.

Understanding the (HAI) work environment and collecting data about elders with (HAI Team) then analysis these data into specific categories and then entering data into a new database. To achieve those activities, I mainly developed
database to store all the collected data and design desktop application to manage all elders' information, and then
generate reports and statistics for HAI which provide the real situation of work. That responsibilities included: • Analyse the information required to collect elderly's data for the project.
• Design special survey for elicitation elderly's data from field of work.
• Analyse collected data and rank it into categories.
• Develop database as required to maintain elderly's data.
• Develop Desktop application to provide the main functionalities for elderly's data.
• Generate reports and statistics for HAI Staff as required.

In the frame of the PCA with UNICEF, Tdh has to produce some key documents to hand over quality products to UNICEF and the main tasks of the consultant is :
• Producing and editing the final report of the mapping of child protection services in the Gaza strip; in particular, include all required charts and statistical reports and ensure a professional design of the final product.
• Produce a booklet on sexual Abuse in the Gaza strip; select relevant information from the available materials and review the final design of the booklet.
• Produce and edit the final report of the project “Technical unit to Support the Child Protection Network in the Gaza strip”; in particular by bringing evidence, statistics and relevant case studies from the database assisted Case Management System (CMS).

With the collaboration of Program Manager/ Child Protection specialist of Child Protection Unit, the Senior IT specialist’s principal tasks are to design a computer-based mapping database, establish and lead a Mapping Task Force, mapping all activities of all child protection agencies in the Gaza strip and contribute to generate and interpret reports based on this comprehensive information, including also:
• Supervising the Mapping of Child Protection in the Gaza Strip, starting with designing questionnaire for collecting information, recruiting and training the field researchers on how to map the organization and collect data from the field.
• Developing a Database Software to enter the collected information from the field.
• Generating reports as requested by the donors, government and other partners.
• Responsible of 21 Social workers working at Family Centers Project funded by UNICEF.
• Developing Database for Case Management System to enter the collected information of the cases from the 21 family centers, monitoring the data entry process, generating reports for the partners and decision makers.
• Working with Program Manager and Finance officer on Budget, Project plan, and input on follow-up proposals.
• Conducting meetings/ trainings for social workers and IT specialists of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and train them on how to use and update the new systems to improve their work.
• Participating in Tdh program management meetings to discuss, plan, decide upon overall strategies and implementation plans, and follow through the implementation process of the activities.
• Developing monitoring tools to measure the sustainability of the impact of the activities on the beneficiaries.

Mapping - data analyst and Database officer at Terre Des Hommes-Lausanne (TDH-Lausanne)

In close collaboration with the Coordinator of Mental Health and Psychosocial/ Psychosocial specialists Technical Unit, the mapping - data analyst and database officer is responsible for developing a database, data collection formats, generating reports and for the mapping of the MHPSS resources in the Gaza Strip, according to project needs and requirements, responsibilities included:
• Creating technical questionnaires to collect data from the field, with the support of the Psychosocial Specialist.
• Developing a database for the mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) mapping project.
• Updating the collected data formats and mapping according to project needs and requirements.
• Collect, enter and update in the database all the gathered information’s from the field.
• Synthesize information collected and provide data analysis and report as required by the TU Coordinator, the psychosocial specialists and external stakeholders.
• Train and familiarize the team with the database and collecting procedures.
• With collaboration of the team, ensure dissemination of data and mapping and train participants on its use as per workshops/conferences/meetings/reporting needs.
• Periodically evaluate database and mapping formats.
• Upgrading the database program and ensure online access.
• Assist the MHPSS TU in developing reporting and monitoring systems and tools for the MHPSS Working Group.
• Provide monthly and quarterly report to the TU coordinator.

The specific objective of this is to have a consultant /trainer supporting SCS- OPT by conducting IT-training and software instalment for Case Management Tool (CMT) to the Family centres social workers "20 persons" from
different backgrounds (Rafah, Khan Younis, Middle, Gaza and North), on-job training in average 40 Training Hours (2
hours /one Family centres social worker), this job considered as a collaboration between Terre Des Hommes-Lausanne and Save the Children-Sweden responsibilities included: • Investigate the environment to determine the best way of data collecting.
• Collect the required information to implement the software especially from the team who is responsible for the paper form design.
• Analysis the collected data to identify, classify and determine the best way to start database creation (tables and fields)
• Design the database diagrams and the software interfaces.
• Start the Programming phase and create integrity between the database and these interfaces.
• Generating the required reports from the database according to the team needs.
• Installing process in all family centers computers including (visiting the center, install the software and test it for work)
• Working with the responsible staff during installation and implementation to help them gain a general
understanding of the system.
• Train the staff in the 20 family centers about the entry and saving transactions process.
• Auto Daily database backup process.
• Upon completion, system test software to assure that it is functioning as intended and producing accurate reports
based on reliable and regularly updated input.
