Working with the Business Consultant (PwC) and IT Consultant (SAP) as part of the Cost Flow work stream to convert SABIC and its affiliates from SOCPA to IFRS. The Cost Flow Work Stream is responsible for the accounting changes to Inventory, Joint Operations & Production Agreements, and Tooling Agreements.

My responsibilities included:

• Reviewing, editing and updating the position papers explaining the subject, the current treatment under SOCPA and the proposed treatment for the gap between SOCPA and IFRS.

• Explaining the business requirements to the SAP team to assist in creating the system solution Blueprints.

• Reviewing and approving the SAP Blueprints.

• Proposing test scenarios for the SAP solutions, reviewing test scripts, and performing the Phase 1 of the User Acceptance Tests (UAT).

• Preparing templates for SABIC's affiliates to fill in order to bridge them from SOCPA to IFRS.

• Supporting the affiliates with filling their templates and answering any inquires they may have.

• Reviewing the affiliates' templates for any mistakes or inconsistencies.

• Supporting the GL Accountants and the affiliates in the monthly closing for the first three months of 2017 using the newly created SAP transactions.
