• Configure 3G services Ethernet over SDH
• provisioning of HOVC & LOVC for new services (PRI, IPLC, DDN, 2G, 3G)
• Implementing different types of protection schemes
• Attend faults & troubleshoot the problems faced by the Customers regarding various PRI, DDN, Tetra, 2G, 3G & IPLC services etc.
• To continuously check for the alarms & Logs in the media with the help of Huawei U2000 NMS (network management system)
• Liaise with different internal teams like switching, Projects & Data Network to resolve the faults & troubleshooting, system wise changes & outages
• In case of Major Fault Divert the Traffic from other Routes
• SDH and DWDM capacity weekly updates
• Clock synchronization & jitter testing
• preparing for Fiber Optic Segregation activity
• Prepare & coordinate for the cable segregation
• Fiber characteristic CD & PMD testing
• Fiber testing with OTDR & power meter
• Prepare SDH Diagrams for New Installation
• insert New NE (Network element) in Topology
• SHDSL modem configuration and installation
Operations & Maintenance of Transmission Systems including SDH, PDH equipment of ECI (XDM, BG, Syncom) Family
• provisioning of HOVC & LOVC
• To troubleshoot the problems faced by the Customers Regarding Equipment
• To continuously check for the alarms & Logs in the media with the help of the NMS (network management system) & EMS (Element management system)
• Create & Modify Topology & Trails
• Take daily Backup of NMS server
• Plan and Re-route the traffic in case of major faults.
• Assign Ring & Node Protection
• insert New NE (Network element) in Topology
• Escalate where necessary both internally and externally
Operation & maintenance of Transmission Systems including SDH/PDH equipment ECI, MARCONI, TELLABS
• Complete detailed knowledge of provisioning of new IPLC, NPLC, ILL, FR, MPLS, and IDC
• To troubleshoot the problems faced by the Customers for the IPLC (international private leased circuits) NPLC (national private leased circuits) links, MPLS, ILL & VPN Links
• To continuously check for the alarms in the media with the help of the NMS (network management system) and take prior steps for the minimum outage in the network.
• To Co-ordinate with the Local as well as International carriers Like MCI, BT, SPRINT, AT & T, SingTel, France Telecom, Telecom Italia & National carriers (BSNL, MTNL, Bharti, TPC etc.) etc. for quick resolution of the Faults.
• To co-ordinate with the cable stations for the early resolution of the faults and to ensure minimum outage of the network.
• Plan and Re-route the traffic in case of major faults.
• To co-ordinate with the Vendors in case Major fault arises with the equipment.
• Monitoring the Alarms and soft loop back testing on the following Digital cross connect system using N M S (network management system)

• Remotely monitor the link status on PE router & switches
• Communicate with other Network Operation Centers and escalate where necessary both internally and externally in order to meet SLAs
• Maintain MTTR, MIT, RFO and Service reports to the customers as per the KPI
