Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks
(WANs), computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment.
* Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting
network issues and escalating problems to consigned section for action.
* Install, certify and troubleshoot physical infrastructure data cables for both campus and remote-
campus networks as well as providing problem-solving services for other sections and end-users if
necessary.
* Participate in planning computer network installations.
* Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators and site personnel through E-mails or tickets and to
provide technical assistance.
* Support through ticketing system as well as conducting site surveys to determine new sites
requirements.
* Use various types of network testing equipment such as FLUKE Networks equipment to test
infrastructure cabling failures, conditions and network performance as well as configuration.
* Keeps library of all software, hardware and supporting documentation as well as familiar and non-
familiar network issues for staff knowledge and review.
* Supervise other workers to fulfill specific tasks such as cable pulling and installation of new data nodes.
