• Optimized the efficiency of Corporate Registration process and reduced the registration time from 1.5 week to 2 days which resulted in 35% increase in registered members per week.
• Changed development methodology from Iterative Waterfall to Agile/Scrum; created a cross functional team and delivered 15 business features in a single calendar year as opposed to 9 features in the previous year.
• Reduced post-production issues by 40% for year 2015 as compared to the previous year.
• Worked with Security team to make noqodi application and processes compliant with ISO 27001 and achieved the certification in 2015. Successfully re-certified noqodi for PCI DSS for the second consecutive year along with upgrading to a newer version.
• Perform C Level Interaction: Fortnightly Product Roadmap meeting with CEO, COO, PMO Head and CSMO where current progress and future roadmap is discussed. Steering committee meeting is also held fortnightly on alternate weeks.

AVP - Software Development at Avanza Solutions

• Managed and delivered Minors and Endowment Management System for Awqaf and Minor Affairs Foundation, Dubai. Automated more than 12 business processes using the best practices of Service Oriented Architecture. The project was delivered on time, meeting all the acceptance criteria whereas the budget was slipped by 3%.
• Managed and delivered Secondary Sales Automation System for Telenor - one of the biggest telecom operators in Pakistan. The solution comprised of an Android Handheld application and a web based Java Back Office application. Handheld application is designed using Android 2.3 and provides flexible user interfaces, robust security, and support for networked and offline application which can be downloaded dynamically. Although the use of handheld application was not mandatory in the first year of launch, however, the application became so popular that it is being used by more than 12, 000 Retail Sales Officers by Feb, 2012.
• From March 2012 to Dec, 2013, I was responsible for planning, budgeting and profitability of Online Banking Portfolio of Products with a team of 10 resources. I had successfully managed and implemented Retail Banking (Ambit), Mobile Banking and Corporate Banking (Ambit Corporate) solutions in major banks in Pakistan including Meezan Bank, Bank Islami, NIB Bank, JS Bank and Summit Bank. We have surpassed the target revenue for the year 2013 by 5%.

  • November 2006 to December 2009

• Responsible for architecture, design, and implementation of high volume mission critical applications and participates in the full life-cycle of the development process - from analysis, design, development, implementation, modification, documentation and refinement for software systems.
• Worked with Internal Auditors and Operations department to make the organization CMMI Level 2 certified. Defined Software Development Processes for Java development Unit which resulted in overall 20% reduction in UAT duration and 35% reduction in post production issues.
• Successfully managed and implemented Graveyard Management System for Dubai Municipality. Performed onsite requirement gathering, coordinated with all stakeholders including Business Owners, Project Managers and Infrastructure teams. The system is integrated with IBM FileNet, CBS and CRA (A Dubai Government's payment system). Zero issues were reported in the 2nd year of post deployment support and customer no longer required support contract for the subsequent years.
• Managed and delivered Oracle SOA based solution - Property and Investment Management System, for Awqaf & Minor Affair Foundation, Dubai. Automated more than 20 business processes including Receiving Property from Minor or Endowment, Auctions, Creating Rental Contracts, Transferrinlg Rental Contracts, Property Maintenance and eService workflows. The system is integrated with many internal of external systems including Financial System (GRP), Payment Gateway, LDAP and Email Server etc. The project has saved around AED5 million annually by avoiding manual processing/labor cost.
• Successfully managed and delivered a Reseller Order Management Portal for Emitac, Dubai within a challenging timeline of 5 months. I took initiative and performed the Requirement Gathering and Gap Analysis by myself; prepared Functional Specification document and lead the overall development in a dot Net based environment. The application is integrated with many back-office systems including warehouses, and financial systems. Received written appreciation letter from the customer.
