administrating of daily IT operations & Equipment at our schools which

o Local Area Network: configuring, managing and troubleshooting
access, wifi, core switches.
o Wide Area Network: DSL for wide Area network /internet, MPLS
and lease line for site to site connectivity
o IT Security: MacAfee end protection through EPO, Juniper and
Sonicwall firewalls.

 Team Management: Management of IT desktop support and IT
administrators in our educational institutions and ensuring Group
policies & ethos are maintained regular appraisals, and professional

infrastructure at American School of Creative Science Sharjah UAE
which included setting up a data center, local area network

Sharjah. It prides itself in delivering education through technology and blending the right mix of values and technology. ISCS is an IT-enabled organization with dedicated custom-built applications for school & education management. My role was senior IT admin who was responsible for both network and system administration and was reporting School principal.
Major functions of the role include the following:
 Network Administration - Managing a network of 1100 PC and
around 2200 users including staff and students. Primary
responsibilities were.
o Local Area network - Managing around 70 edge and a core
HP switches
o WAN Lease lines & DSL lines are up and running.
o Vlan - Managing Vlan for ICT labs, different phases, CCTV,
etc
o Lan wireless: Managing Aruba Controllers and around 120
Access points along with Aruba clear pass device.
 System Administration
o Windows 2008 & 2012 Servers (AD, DNS, DHCP)
o User Management: Creating Users and assign policies as
per their groups.
o Messaging system: Maintaining & Managing MS Exchange

publishing a school web site through third-party vendors.
o Backing Up Data using Symantec Backup Exec and restoring
when required.
 IT Security
o Firewall, SonicWALL & Juniper: Ensuring that content
filtering as per school management is in place and school
network are protected from inside and outside threats.
o Anti-Spam: Managing McAfee AntiSpam solution for
exchange 2003
o Antivirus: Ensuring all devices over the network are
compliant.
 Management of Desktop Support.
o Manage a team of two desktop support technicians
o Effectively using the Manage engine service desk to assign and
manage daily workload.
 Procurement & IT asset management
o Procure IT equipment in collaboration with the Procurement
department.
