Designated as Projects Manager with Proscape and have completed and successfully handed over 8 projects in my tenure with Proscape. Currently managing a project within EXPO which is in the final stage of construction. As per the EXPO projects requirement of BIM, we have a small BIM tam at site. I am involved with the BIM team in coordination of the Models with Contractors and Consultants and managing the submissions accordingly
Also having an additional role and responsibility as a Close out Coordinator (a member of Companies close out committee) dealing in coordination’s with the internal divisions and External sub-contractors for the close out documentation (O&M Manuals, Warranties, Training Manuals, T&C documents etc.) for all the projects in the closing stage with a dedicated team and ensuring the submissions are done as per the project close out program
Review design drawings and raise technical queries if any to the Consultants
Lead a team of draughtsman and coordinate with them in preparation of shop drawings and progress drawings
Coordinating with site engineers in getting the work progress at site
Attending technical meetings with Consultants
Coordinating with the sub Contractors in dealing with their deliverables
Coordinating with the main office for issues like LPO’s, payment issues, sub contract agreements, finalizing of suppliers etc.
Coordinating with different suppliers for obtaining material submittals
Coordinating with the site QS team in obtaining the quantity take off and managing the supply orders to the suppliers
Regular follow up with the suppliers on supply of the requested material as per the project requirement
Provide technical clarification to the suppliers/manufacturers
Maintaining log for shop drawings / RFI’s and material delivery
Managing weekly progress report and informing the same to the PM
Intimating PM any forecasted potential delays like material supply, NOC’s, Authority approvals, Design drawings, Clashes, resources unavailability etc
Regular meetings with PM in discussing all the pending issues and doing the follow up of the same
Performing regular site visits in monitoring the progress and the quality of works done at site
Arranging internal progress meeting with the site staff to discuss the delays and the solutions to overcome the same
Over 7 Billion dollar Program for Civil Works and Various Infrastructure for Oil and Gas Facilities.
In conjunction with the Project Manager, performed construction management role for 2 projects with multiple subcontractors; interfacing with the client and the sub-contractors, the site execution team, the design team, cost engineering, planning, QAQC, and managing the field document control specialists.
Main focal point for subcontractors during the pre-construction stage, ensuring that all contract deliverables are in place prior to mobilization.
Assisted in reviewing subcontractors' technical submittals, measured and reported project performances to the Project Manager and the Area Manager. Initiated knowledge sharing and lessons learned from other projects
Construction supervision of 80 km Storm Water Network.
Supervision of 70 km of sewerage network.
Construction supervision of underground sewerage pumping station.
Construction supervision of underground storm water pumping station.
Construction of 15 Soakaways and 3 retention ponds for storm water discharge with 2 box culvert crossings.
Construction supervision of other utilities like 70 km of water network, 50 km of irrigation network along with the associated valves and chambers.
Monitoring progress and managing final inspection reports for all the above mentioned service utilities.
Ensure performance of the work in strict accordance with the drawings, plans and specification.
Monitoring of inspectors diary of the day work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operations, labour and equipment used, etc.
Coordinate with the Contractor’s Construction Manager in charge of the work on a frequent basis to ensure that no issues are encountered.
Coordinate with the discipline Inspectors to ensure that the relevant sections of works are managed, supervised and inspected correctly.
Review and comment appropriately to RFI’s as received from the Contractor, when directed by the Resident Engineer.
Report to the Resident Engineer any failure of the Contractor to conform to drawings, plans and specifications and to provide good workmanship.
Review and comment appropriately to shop drawings received from the Contractor, when directed by the Resident Engineer
Liaise with the design office Engineer(s) when required.
Ensure that works are compliant with the current relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Contractor’s HSE plan at all times.
Site Engineer in construction of a prestigious residential building comprises of 256 apartments with facilities like swimming pool, gym, jogging track, billiards room, children playground, stores and green area etc.
Handled individually a block of size 20000 sq m with minimum support from senior officials starting from structural till handing over.
Handed over 50 flats to the Client in estimated time with maximum perfection.
