As a Systems Engineer at Aspire NOC, my responsibilities included assessing systems, identifying problems, and providing solutions to issues that arise. I designed and upgraded systems and maintained them, as well as brainstormed possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future. Additionally, I monitored and controlled large computer networks from a central location using monitoring tools such as Site 24x7, Nagios, SolarWinds, and PagerDuty.
I collaborated closely with development teams to design and implement continuous integration and delivery processes. I also designed and implemented automation tools and frameworks for infrastructure deployment, ensuring that our systems were efficient and reliable. As part of my responsibilities, I monitored and maintained production infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. I worked closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arose. Additionally, I managed and optimized cloud-based infrastructure resources, implementing security best practices for infrastructure and applications. I was also responsible for implementing and maintaining disaster recovery and backup procedures to ensure business continuity.
My focus was on supporting network architecture and implementing and providing technical support for networking topologies such as LAN, WAN, and client internet applications. I had expertise in designing and configuring network infrastructures to support the company's operations and provided on-site support for all client network hardware services. My experience in troubleshooting network- related issues allowed me to identify and resolve problems quickly, ensuring high levels of system availability.
Providing information management services to the humanitarian community to inform a rapid, effective, and principled response. Installing and maintaining computer systems including software and hardware on desktops and laptops, resolving internet and network access issues (both wired and wireless), providing network printer support, meeting with staff to provide one-one technical assistance as needed/request.
My primary responsibility was to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues accurately and timely. I worked with different systems, software, and hardware and followed standard procedures to escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal departments.
Internship for graduation requirements includes helping manage database performance, reviewing software and server performance, loading information into the database, improving database efficiency, ensuring backups run regularly, sorting and organizing information by location, access methods, and amount of space, creating reports.
