Better Read 2 Pay PMO & Comms Manager – Contract at EDF Energy
  • February 2014 to May 2015

PMO Manager supporting the Better Read to Pay Project which delivered a comprehensive review of the Read to Pay process incorporating Account Setup, Meter Readings, Billing & Payment for Residential Energy customers and subsequently managed change to reduce customer complaints and improve operational efficiency. £2M cost budget, delivering £30M benefits over a 5 year period.
• Led Team planning meetings, Created & maintained the Project Plan in MS Project & EPM. Deputised for the Project Manager.
• Worked with the Design & Delivery team to ensure Project Change Requests were deployed as planned to the required quality standard, ensured appropriate communication and escalation when issues were encountered.
• Managed the Budget, Cost Forecast, Resourcing, Benefits Tracker & RAID log for the project.
• Status Reports, Project Board Presentations & updates to the Project Sponsor, Stakeholders and the Business Owner Group.
• Prepared Project Governance documentation for Gate checkpoints. Presented the Project closure report to Decision Support.
• Analysed Kampyle feedback on Customer complaints and suggested improvements to the Marketing team.

Senior PMO Voyager Programme (RAID, Governance & Change Control Manager) - Contract at EDF Energy

• Senior PMO supporting the Voyager Programme - a high profile, high risk 5 year transformation programme to deliver new end-to-end Customer Management applications to B2B customers costing £80m, which went into recovery mode Jan 2012.
• Re-energised the RAID process & Engaged the 15 Workstreams & 5 Business areas involved in the Voyager Programme to proactively manage their Risks, Issues & Dependencies. Standardised RAID reporting using a centralised tool ClearQuest. Set up Risk workshops & agreed Escalations to the EDFe Delivery Lead & Programme Director where appropriate.
• Led weekly Change Triage meetings & Change Board, ensuring the EDFe Change Process was adhered to & liaised with Finance to validate associated Work Orders submitted by the Premier Partner Accenture.
• Worked with the PMO Lead in facilitating the Planning & Re-Planning workshops with the Programme Director, Business Owners & Workstream Leads.
• Led Control Point/Checkpoint meetings to agree readiness for:- Test Phase Exit, Dress Rehearsals & Go/No Go Live Events.
• Ensured KPMG Assurance recommendations were implemented accordingly.
• Created & Managed the Daily Dashboard. Facilitated Dashboard reviews & Go/No Go meetings with the Programme Director.
• Governance Reporting - Provided Project progress updates, RAID, Change Control & Quality Assurance Inputs to PowerPoint presentations for Weekly & Monthly Governance meetings attended by Senior EDFe Directors.
