• Analyze and correlate condition monitoring data (Oil sample analysis, Inspection report, electronic data / diagnostic code, equipment history) in order to foresee failure and recommend to customer appropriate actions.
• Recommend proper equipment operation practices derived from condition monitoring data.
• Build collaborative relationships with other condition monitoring personnel within the organization.
• Use CAT CMMS and data base to monitor equipment performance, extract customer information, repair history and other related electronic data (fault/ diagnostic code).
• Use software tools (Microsoft Excel, Access) to analyze condition monitoring data.
• Prepare written technical reports and recommendation as required by Manager/ Senior personnel.
• Communicate verbal recommendations as required by Manager/ Senior personnel.
• Conducts troubleshooting and adjustment in machines / power systems (mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system using diagnostic tools - CAT ET ) in order to restore the unit to its normal operating condition based on CAT specification on the CAT machines.
• Conducts Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI), Technical Analysis Level 1(visual inspection) and Level 2 (performance, operation, and diagnostic testing) on machines / power systems in order to determine the existing condition of the unit and recommends possible Repair Before Failure (RBF) to maintain satisfactory performance of the unit.
• Performs scheduled Preventive Maintenance on machines / power systems and recommends possible repair needed in order to maintain high equipment availability, prevent major breakdown and minimize unnecessary repairs on CAT machines.
• Identifies parts reusability using Service Information System (SIS) and Dealer Business System (DBS) and other CAT literatures in order to ensure accurate part survey and reduce repair cost.
• Performs Applied Failure Analysis (AFA), and submits initial reports to Technical Communicator in order to identify root causes of failures and recommends possible solutions.
• Assists in reviewing and revising service reports and parts surveys submitted by the Mechanics and Senior Mechanics as required by the Supervisor in order to ensure accuracy and on time submission to Service Advisor.
• Responds to customer needs and accurately performs the required servicing job in order to achieve company’s profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare daily equipment usage, breakdown and availability.
- Prepare daily machine status report, provide and update Gantt chart for actual repair status.
- Calculate machine and equipment performance using statistic parameters like Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) and Mean-Time-Between-Failure (MTBF)
- Provides record and documentation to repaired equipment and store into local database.
