Methods team is considered as backbone of plant operation and maintenance organization, which consist of planning and inspection sections. Team is composed of one planning coordinator, two planners, four inspectors and two lubrication technicians.
As methods manager, job responsibilities are to manage and guide the maintenance team for daily, weekly and annual planning in regards to maintenance activities as well as to ensure budget compliance (OPEX + CAPEX). Consider new techniques and technologies to optimize maintenance cost and improve the technical condition and functioning of the installed equipment.
Worked as Planning Coordinator since 01 October, 2015 to 28 Feb, 2019 in Maintenance - Methods Deptt
Job profile included but not limited day to day management of the Planning section of Methods department, team was of three planners, in addition to handling of the clinker manufacturing area, plant annual shutdown management, maintenance budget preparation and cost follow up and control
Projects Handled:
Replacement of kiln shell and tire for FLS Kiln Size 5.25 x 82 meters, where my involvement was from inquiry of spares till installation on site
Replacement of clinker cooler electrostatic precipitator screens along with deflector replacement and complete casing repair
Worked as Planner (Mechanical) since 02 Aug, 2007 to 30 Sep, 2015 in Maintenance - Methods Deptt
I have handled the most critical area of cement plant since 2007 i.e. clinker manufacturing. This includes the raw material grinding, raw meal storage and then turning that raw meal into clinker through kiln and pre-heater.
Since safety was one of the top priorities of Lafarge, so I have been involved in many safety activities and trainings for LOTOTO, HAZID, HERA, HECP, Energy Isolation, Confined Space, Work at Height, Contractor Safety Management and Mobile Equipment.
Projects Handled:
Design, installation and commissioning of Shredded Tire Project for enhancement of alternative fuel system
Establishing safety school for Lafarge MENA region
Installation of air blaster system for cyclone pre-heater to avoid cyclone material blockages
Enhancement of Oracle ERP system to utilize the system for cost control and KPI calculations
Worked as Assistant Manager in Maple Leaf Cement Factory Ltd. Iskanderabad Distt. Mianwali, Pakistan from 20 Dec, 2004 to 01 Aug, 2007.
Assistant Manager (Preventive Maintenance). Daily parameters checking, condition monitoring and implementing of maintenance schedules were my responsibilities.
Assistant Manager, Area In-Charge (Crushers & Storage). My responsibilities were maintaining the plant and spares, organizing people and scheduling the maintenance including on-going and shutdown.
Projects Handled:
Up-gradation project of the plant from production of 3300t/day to 4000t/day
Graduated as Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Pakistan Navy Engineering College, a constituent college of NUST (National University of Sciences & Technology -Pakistan), in August, 2004.
