Manager of Studies and designs, Office buildings and Public works Architectural Designs for other ministries, and our embassies abroad, . implementations supervising, Participating with other managers and directors for Investment projects and how to anchorage the privates to be involved by the Public-Private Partnerships process, a team leader for the project of (Quantity surveying of the national war 2011 damages in “Arhab” district includes: damages quantities, drawing plans, photographs, and general analyzing for illegibility decision making for compensations.
Senior Architect/Team Leader with GOPA:
I am a consultant senior architect with a German International firm called “GOPA”, generally it works for (Basic Education Improvement) as consultants for our ministry of education, for (developing about 200 Basic schools), costs about US$28 million, supplied by KfW bank, supported by: GTZ and DED. Particularly I am doing:
(1) THE MASTER PLANS (alone):
(a) Analyzing questionnaire statistics to know eligibilities, site visiting, to know which block should be demolished, which block can be rehabilitated, what are the new needs (eligibility information system) of: number of Classrooms and of which size (18, 24, 30, or 36 student/class), services as Toilets, Teachers house of 2 or 4 bedrooms, Guard house, Cafeteria, Lab. Multipurpose room, Library, Sport yard…etc. and leading the questioners, supervisors, and drafts groups.
(b) The drawings by Auto CAD, Photos description by Adobe photoshop, Project Descriptions by Word, and Quantities by Excel.
(c) Converting all project’s files into one PDF complete package, so you can print all project’s files by only one click (set auto rotate portrait/landscape)
(2) Participate (with others rarely) for:
Meetings discussions, Detail Plans, Detail working drawings, Selling tender envelops, analyze tenders, and supervising the implementation.
(3) THE FINAL AS BUILT PLANS (alone):
(a) The drawings: correcting dimensions, angles, levels …etc. of the AS DESIGNED drawings by Auto CAD.
(b) Photos description by Adobe.
(c) Quantities calculations by Excel.
(d) Final reports of implementation qualities remarks by Word.
Then I submit the school or the district education office (DEO) to the project manager. He submits to our ministry of education (MOE).
1- I have participated for the Urban Planning of Taiz city for the new growth, preparing Base Maps from the Arial topography transparent original maps, then doing: 9 new neighborhoods in Kalaba, and Usaifera areas, also a Counterpart for "Halcrow Fox & Associates" British Experts for upgrading the old city of Taiz contains of 5 old neighborhoods with proposals for the flood protection, costs ~US$18 million.
2- New Urban for Sawaad Sawaan housing project in Sana’a, doing: Re-subdivision instead of the previous subdivision then Architectural designs for 18 deferent small houses, the central market, costs ~US$ 12 million. It was supplied 60% by the IDA
3- I was a counterpart for the German Urban Development Experts in (Yemeni-German Technical Cooperation YGTC)= (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Techniche Zusammenabeit. GTZ), Planning and leading a team for urban development, and an asst. manager, doing Master and detail planning, costs ~US$8 million.
Public-Private Partnerships can be achieved by: Contracts, Tenders, Risk sharing bases, Monopoly franchise, and Leasing. all are related to: Urban Economics, Local government finance, Urban development policy and planning, Decentralization, Governance, Job creation, Poverty alleviation, Dealing with the NGO’s and beneficiaries, Management of Public Organizations (MPO), Urban transport, Environment, Public utilities, Social services, Urban housing, Land management, Multi Sectoral Investment Planning
