Overall responsible for all DP activities (including qualitative) . I prepare Plan/Schedule time, manpower and DP facilities for all on-going and proposed projects and assist the Project Directors in designing systems for data coding, data entry and data output formats. I Arrange checking of all filled-in questionnaires received from the field for quality, consistency, substantive information, completeness, etc., arrange to carry out necessary editing, and where necessary have interviews redone if not found up to the required standard. These activities have to be done with the help of the Data Quality Control Officer (s) and also advise the Data Quality control Officer (s) in managing the editing and coding work. I supervise the coding plan and have the responses coded in all the questionnaires without errors / omissions accordingly through the coding team, prepare a list the open-ended responses and finalize coding for these. I undertake necessary computer programming/Data Setup work for processing of primary and secondary data in the required output format-ensuring maximum processing speed with complete accuracy of outputs. I supervise the data entry team's activities and ensure error-free data entry from all Questionnaires and in the process have checked at least 50 percent of all entered data. Check all analysis outputs for consistency and meaningfulness, discuss with Project Director (s) /Manager (s) then transfer outputs to the concerned Director (s) / project manager. Take necessary steps for proper storage of all computerized data and outputs and all hard copies / questionnaires. Review the performance of all permanent and temporary DP workers (operators, coders, editors, etc.) and report from time to time the Managing Director and Project directors for future planning/action and also prepare any report on the status of DP activities as required by the Managing Director. Time to time organize computer programme / package courses based on requirement. I maintain comprehensive inventory of all capital equipment furniture, fittings, computers, etc.) and expendable materials (stationeries, questionnaires, floppies, etc.) and place appropriate requisitions for replacement and / or additional procurements with adequate lead time. I maintain comprehensive register of all activities in relation to fieldwork and data entry activities and report on the status of all activities on to the Managing Director and project managers for their information. I check and ensure the correctness of all bills and invoices related to DP activities for the clearance of the relevant project manager and approval of the Managing Director prior to sending to the senior management for onward transmission to the clients. I keep close liaison with the Systems Maintenance Consultant to ensure proper function of hardware and software systems of the Company. I perform any other activities related to DP and computer systems maintenance as assigned from time to time by the Managing Director.
