Responsibilities:
As Infrastructure Engineer, oversee project work which includes 2 bridges and over 10, 000 units to be built at Al Madina Al Shamalia in Bahrain as per the defined Key Performance Indicators-
Coordinate with planning and track work completion as per schedule & project milestone dates
Steer project to meet the aims set including conformance to quality standards.
Undertake electrical infrastructure works including cabling & street lighting.
Review shop drawings, material submittal, method statement & proposed subcontractors’ pre-qualification design as well as accept and review as-built drawings.
Approve the quality control programme of the contractors.

Technician- Contracts & Substation Underground/ Overhead Maintenance Sections
As Street Lighting Construction & Design/ Maintenance Engineer, planned & designed new schemes for street lighting as per the specified targets as well as the Key Performance Matrices-
Supervised all lighting schemes contractors & prepared scheme file according its priority.
Steered material procurement for new schemes including budgeting and invoicing.
Arranged list of materials required for the scheme and prepared the material requisition.
Supervised contractor's work throughout the schemes and implement improvement on their performance, make sure that they instigate safety procedure.
Evaluate contractor's Performance on completion of schemes, towards its Continuous Improvement.
Supervising of testing and commissioning activities for completed construction project.
Ensuring projects parameters are well understood, proven and serve testing and commissioning.
Work closely with contractors, vendors and supplier in resolution of technical problems and ensure deficiencies are identified, repaired and updated to actual site condition.

As Technician- Contracts & Substation Underground/ Overhead Maintenance Sections, Electricity Distribution Directorate, test & commission new ring main unit in installation of new substation to meet the set Key Result Areas-
Engaged in construction of LV and 11KV networks- overhead lines, underground cables, pole & ground mounted transformers and substations,
Arranged list of materials required for the schemes and prepared material requisition accordingly.
Prepared programs for shutdown requests as well as switching on of 11kv & LV networks, besides isolating, earthing, & identifying overhead & underground 11KV circuits.
Undertaken spiking, phasing out underground cables and issuing the relevant "Permit to Work" to the contractor's supervisor, accepting responsibility that the cable is safe to work
Coordinated measurement of the work carried out, example, trenches, laid cables, erection of 11KV, and LV overhead lines transformers, among others.

Successfully executed installation of new substation, put new substation into grid system including cabling and switching.
Ably supervised testing, commissioning, and energizing over 35 new substations.
Ensured proper handling & usage of material issued to contractors to commission 11KV & LV in the EDD networks.

As Technician- Transmission Protection Section, Electricity Transmission Directorate, conducted primary & secondary testing of relays & distance protection testing under SCADA cables as per the Key Result Areas-
Handled primary and secondary injection, bus - bar & transformer protection primary injection, feeder protection, testing of equipment's instruments, switching on 11KV, 33KV, and 66KV.
Managed testing/ commissioning, switching off/on, and maintenance of switchgears
Driven the testing, commissioning, & maintenance of SF6 panels, battery charger, & pressurization pumps as well as transformer tap changer in the substation.
As Technician- Technical Services Sections, Electricity Transmission Directorate, conducted switching operation on high voltage 11kv, 33kv & 66kv feeders & transformers as per the Key Performance Parameters-
Commissioned & tested controls system, local/remote switching and Sf6 gas detection system, alarms/faults, fire system, air condition system and pressurization system in the sub stations.
Undertaken high performance of relay testing for 15 - 18 relays per day
Authorised for switching on 11kv and 66kv by the Board of Authority
Conducted testing on various equipment such as Vacuum tester for Vacuum C.B
Reported all 55 Transmission on weekly/monthly basis.
As Apprentice, underwent onsite training including working in shift operations in power stations and other sections
PROJECTS HANDLED
Reef Island, handled the assigned tasks in projects and consultancy & looked after all electrical jobs as per the set Key Performance Indices-
Coordinated with the main contractor and consultant on design of new substation be install on Island.
Discussed key issues in project plans for energy consumption operation & undertaken effective corrective action.
Reviewed and approved scale drawings of contracted consultants for all building permit submissions to ensure that it is in line with the company’s master plan and complies with local regulations
Assessed and provided inputs towards the technical feasibility study of the conceptual design regarding energy consumption, operational aspects and maintenance requirements
Identified critical issues in proposed project plans and provided suggestions to overcome various issues
Offered technical guidance to contracted architects/electrical engineers consultants to determine the function and spatial requirements of the electrical systems
Checked all bill of quantities for any work on the island
Attended regular meetings on work progress & generated periodic reports for management

Spearheaded efforts to install, energise, and test intake substation work while ensuring best practice replication and functional core competency enhancement.
Initiated steps to successfully put 2 new substations into island grid system as well as energised power for new facilities such as restaurants.

Ensured work interface with the electricity authority to close pending jobs & achieve project outcomes.
