Currently working in a global team who is responsible to achieve the vision and strategy of the Global Compliance function to identify, mitigate and manage the Financial Crime Risks for supporting Bank’s strategic direction and growth aspirations, my responsibilities are to:
• Contribute for designing and implementing an effective Global Financial Crime Compliance policy and Standards
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment of policy & standards updates, process & system changes for timely execution of deliverables.
• Ensure effective training on AML/CFT risk for business, products, and services and training for related policies and standards help to prevent, identify, and mitigate these risks.
• Provide effective and risk-based advice, guidance, and interpretation of relevant policy & standards to all internal stakeholders relating to the prevention and detection of money laundering & terrorist financing, and sanctions risks.
• Facilitate to develop and implement programs to quantify impacts; and suggest implementing actions to address, manage and mitigate the impacts of AML & sanctions risk in business activities.
• Ensure effective management of issues and risks identified by internal and external reviews by proactive/corrective actions for closure of open items in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• Act as an independent second line function, to execute the robust independent risk controls and provide a constructive challenge to business in a manner proportionate to the nature, size and complexity of the issues identified.
• Monitor key FCC/ CDD metrics (Key Risk Indicators, Key Performance Indicators) and working with business to ensure that these metrics remain within tolerance.
• Escalate the breaches from metrics in global governance forums so that senior management has effective oversight.
• Maintain constructive and effective stakeholder relationships with the relevant business and support functions.

Key Achievements:
Worked as Subject Matter Expert for ASEAN and South Asia region to drive the remediation of Enhanced Due Diligence project for High-Risk Retail Clients to meet the commitments made to International/ global regulatory bodies.
• Worked as Subject Matter Expert to identify the high-risk clients by intelligence obtained from various MIS, metrics and advised the business to implement additional controls.
• Collaboratively presented these clients to various Risk Committees (Regional/ Global) and for annual senior management reviews by Country, Regional and Group CEO.
