 Cluster QA lead of Marmul area (Oman south) and integrity projects in EMC. Reporting to QA/QC Manager on all quality related matters. Responsible for following up with the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Quality System in line with good quality management principles.

 Monitor at appropriate stages of design, formal documented reviews of the design results to ensure that design stages output meets the design input requirement. Carry out a readiness review at each stage in the design process ensure that all work and deliverables have gone through the proper checks and processes before moving onto the next phase.

 Review of deliverables (including tender documents) through inter discipline check and issue comments / provide technical inputs to incorporate and revise the documents as necessary prior to final release for design, construction, inquiry and purchase.

 Review and approve vendor/subcontractor documents and deliverables such as ITPs (Inspection and test plan) & QCPs (Quality control procedures), GA drawings etc. Ensure that ITPs cover the scope of work fully and meet the specified requirements for the equipment used in accordance with the specifications, standards, project needs, health and safety, quality and environment.

 Review and approve criticality rating of items (This is a rating against consequence of failure: An indication of the level of importance to be attached to items. Based on this indication, the appropriate quality intervention levels shall be established.)

 Ensure and verify through quality audits that the appropriate levels of checks and balances are being applied in the Engineering Management System, procedures are being conformed and that technical integrity is assured which is one of the prime objectives of the system.

 Carry out GAP ANALYSIS for the items purchased in ex-stock for integrity (like to like replacement) projects and ensure that mechanical Integrity of the piping, Static Equipment and pipelines of the EMC projects undertaken by the company are in compliance with relevant codes, standards and procedures.

 Understand the contract quality management system and meticulously ensure these requirements are met. Knowledge of PDO Specifications, Shell Group standards like DEP's, MESC SPEs and other International Codes and Standards like ISO, ASME, API, EN, AWS, ANSI, ASTM, NACE, BS etc.

 Participate in Kick off meetings and explain vendors about the Client quality requirements with particular emphasis on contractual requirements.

 Review purchase spec and advise multi discipline (Piping/pipeline/static/Mechanical/E&I/civil/Process/Material) departments for the necessary changes/corrections in the document to make it completely in-line with the specified requirements. Also provide technical clarifications regarding materials quality/inspection/testing requirements to project teams during project engineering/procurement/execution stage.

 Perform technical bid evaluation and highlight non-conformances in coordination with respective technical disciplines within WGCCC and with PDO for all externally sourced materials.

 Take part in project progress meetings and give feedback from quality point of view in regards to ITP/QCP status, inspection related issues etc.

 To facilitate development of all Contract specific procedures and work instructions necessary to support the Contract Quality Plan, including an effective change control process in place as well as facilitate management of change.

 Prepare internal/external audit schedule, Audit Notification-checklists, Audit Reports and follow-up of NCRs and CAPARs until final close-out to ensure compliance to the QMS requirements.

 Assist QA/QC Manager in evaluating and reporting KPIs and report the extent to which the quality standards/objectives are achieved. Prepare weekly quality reports and provide inputs to QA/QC Manager for monthly quality report.
