Professor and Management Consultant•Colleague
Mr. Sreekumar Sreedharan is personally known to me - both as a post-graduate student in my classes at the Loyola College of Social Sciences (Trivandrum) and as a junior colleague in the Dept. of Personnel & Administration of the Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (Trivandrum). As a person, he has been very dynamic - mentally and physically, guided by professional knowledge and know-how, ethics and values with deep concern for the well-being of the personnel in the company. At the same time, I have seen him stubbornly defending the interests of the organisation against vested interests. Mr. Sreekumar combines in himself the curiosity of an academician to know the latest concepts and strategies in HRD and the practical common sense in handling the day-to-day management of human resources. I have always felt that he is very polite but very firm on management principles, ethics and ethos. He has thorough grasp of legal provisions regarding labour issues, industrial relations and State Policies on industry and commerce. In sum, it can be stated that Mr. Sreekumar firmly believes in the dictum that, "the business of Personnel Management is the business."
