• Responsible for a large percentage of designs for Denim-based product placed into production (4.5 million garments per month).
• Designing capsule collections for Inditex group, one of the biggest retailers worldwide.
• Designing and developing Denim-wear Bottoms & Outerwear products for all categories (Men's, Ladies, Girls & Boys) for international accounts such as Zara, Pull & Bear, Mango, Primark, Walmart, Target (Australia).
• Responsible for completing technical packs with extensive detail.
• Regular visits to Bangladesh to work with the development team to obtain and source new local fabrics and accessories.
• Visiting fabric fairs to identify fabrics suitable and cost effective for the customer base.
• Extensive knowledge of Denim fabrics by hand-feel and technicality (in terms of composition, construction & other aspects).
• Constant communication with Buyers & Suppliers worldwide.
• Constant exposure to market and buyer trends to develop suitable product.
• Responsible for fabric selection suitable for targeted accounts and departments.
• Providing comments & approval of all samples prior to presentations to customers.
• Development of seasonal look books for all genders / categories.
• Close liaison with the Sales Director.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Using software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create CADs.
• Conducting a market research to understand the trends in the market and the competitive brands.
• Creating Tech packs to aid with the production process.
• Using PLM to upload information on to progress with production.
• Sorting out inventory; Studying garments in terms of style, season, fabric & detail.
• To look at products with a customer point of view.
• Studying different illustration styles using hand drawings and software • Research & design development of initial inspiration to final garment • Creating portfolios based on briefs like high fashion, sportswear, culture orientation etc • Handling the production process of the garments after design development • Process Analysis Document to display the production process and to rectify the challenges faced
