Procurement Responsibilities

- Forecasting likely levels of demand for services and products in cooperation with field operation engineers to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels to maximize business efficiency;
- Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality;
- Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers;
- Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them;
- Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress - checking the quality of service provided;
- Develop and implement systems that ensure goods, products, and services are acquired at the best price, quality, quantity, time needed, and from the best sources through continuous operational and supplier review, evaluations, and improvements
- Enforce purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure purchases are requested and buys are made in compliance with SOX, and internal auditory requirements through continuous review of day-to-day purchasing activities.
