Working with reputed engineering consultants in the capacity of Senior Document Controller. Based at Head Office.
Worked on prestigious government project involving several international project management companies, design consultants & architects.
I was part of 8-member Document Control Team and responsible for quality review of all drawings and documents + coordination of documents/drawings/data flow between all stakeholders in an efficient, smooth and reliable manner. Document Control/QA review & check was done for all docs/dwgs produced in 4 design offices - Doha, Abu Dhabi, Cairo and Atlanta (US). Ensure quick, swift coordination with Technical Coordinators for submission to PMC/client office in line with project deadlines. Reporting to Project Control Manager. ePM EDMS was used in this project.
Design Phase of the project has been completed and company is awaiting start of Construction Phase.
Presently due to lack of projects, company has advised to seek employment elsewhere and NOC/Visa Transfer would be provided.
Worked with reputed contracting company in the capacity of Chief Document Controller. Based at Head Office.
Supervised Document Control activities for various projects in a challenging and dynamic work environment involving many international project management companies, design consultants & architects from Qatar, UK, US, Australia & Middle East.
Responsible to maintain Head Office and project/s document control system, document/drawing numbering procedures, active coordination of document control works with site supervision team, client(s) project management team, architects/designers and various Subcontractors.
Actively participated in implementation of EDMS (electronic data management system - ePIN) across all companies involved on the various projects.
Worked with a South African company at the Regional Head Office in Bangalore, India.
Responsible for managing complete document control works at Head Office, as well as coordinating works with document control teams of various construction projects spread across India.
Also responsible for coordination of document control activities with the South African main office/Centre of Excellence (a major design expertise hub for mining & metallurgical plants design, upgradation/capacity boosting projects etc).
Document Control Software used was Oracle based DTS (Document Tracking System) and Livelink + FTP setup for bulk-files sharing/data transfers.
Worked with an international Project Management Company in Abu Dhabi on Al Raha Beach Development Project - a huge construction project for the Government of Abu Dhabi..
ALDAR Laing O’Rourke had dual roles on this huge project - Project Management Consultancy and 1st Tier Contractor. During the initial stages of the project, I worked with ALDAR LOR Infrastructure Team.
Later was assigned to work with Project Masterplanners, Esquisse Design Studio (Australia) - an Australian design and architectural firm.
Document Management Software used in this project were - ASITE, Primavera Expedition and ACONEX.
Worked with reputed Project Management Consultancy (PMC) firm, as Senior Document Controller on KJO Master Plan Project.
The KJO Master Plan Project combined project/s value is US$ 550 Million. The project had three (3) packages - Infrastructure, Community and Business Packages.
- Infrastructure & Community Packages was designed & supervised by Saud Consult, Al-Khobar.
- Business Packages was designed & supervised by Zuhair Fayez Partnership, Al-Khobar.
Had worked on this huge project from Conceptual Design/Basic Design Phase, Detailed Design Phase as well as the Construction Phase.
Chiefly responsible for complete document control and coordination activities amongst the PMC team as well as the client representatives (PMT team). Reporting to QA/QC Manager.
A 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications covering computer basics, programming and database management.
Bachelor's Degree in Science. A 3-years course inclusive of languages.
Senior Grade English Typewriting Course and Letter Drafting Course - a 2-year Diploma Course.
