• Manage the OP&L Team to ensure proper stock availability, punctual deliveries to the clients, and the smooth operations of OP&L activities.

• Provide the necessary reports on all OP&L functions and operations to executive management for regular reviews
• Negotiate with various vendors and freight forwarders for final contract rates.
• Monitor the stock/inventory control system (PACT).
• Monitor and execute each order process according to the Standard Turn-Around Time (TAT) and try to minimize the TAT of each process.
• Effectively manage all OP&L functions to improve both internal and external customer satisfaction and to ensure the achievement of Company strategic objectives.
• Proactively manage the OP&L Section and perform all necessary duties to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of OP&L operations.

Responsible for managing a team of 70 members includes Pathologists,
senior lab supervisors, Section supervisors, General techs, Lab assistants,
Admin/Marketing staffs and courier team at a 2 million tests/annum.
Serves as a liaison with other areas of the hospital in full control of
Materials management, Tests Send outs, Customer Care, Phlebotomy, ITHIS/LIS,
External lab business, Insurance & Billing as needed.
Oversee plans and preparations for inspections and audit-HAAD, JCIA,
CAP.
Taken a lead role in achieving first time CAP accreditation for the center.
Identifies future needs in terms of staffing, equipment and facilities.

The Lab Operations Manager is responsible for the management and the
functioning of the laboratory with directions from the Chief Operating Officer of the
Hospital and in consult with the Medical Director and the Head of the department. All
the aspects of the laboratory services and operations of the laboratory are under the
supervision and professional guidance of the Lab Manager .This job scope interrelates
with other staff to assure continuity of the patient care in the best possible manner and

courier team with a 1.2 million tests/annum.
Plans, assigns and directs work in the laboratory. Serves as a liaison with

Mentors and supports direct, ie. Chief Techs, Senior Techs in their
responsibilities and functions, ensuring them receive training in
supervisory skill development. Identifies and implements training
programs as necessary.
Co ordinates and monitors quality assurance programs. Ensure quality
control and compliance procedures are followed and QC reports are up to
date. Oversee plans and preparations for inspections and audit.
Overseas staffing of all personnel in the laboratory. Effectively maintains
quality staffing by interviewing, hiring, training and providing staff
development through performance evaluation and corrective counseling.
