Responsibilities:
•As part of Project Management Office, managing the project portfolio comprising of projects aligned with organization strategy.
•Standardizing portfolio/project management methodology across department based on the industry best practices.
•Ensuring the timely and regular reporting of the project’s status to the higher management, with special emphasis on the strengths and weaknesses of the projects.
•Ensuring the availability, and constant improvement of measurement mechanisms to gauge the project execution and performance parameters department wise.
•Vendor evaluations, selection and management for outsourced projects.
•Developed different dashboards for maintaining and up-to date information of IT Projects
•Coordinate with IT Operations, Data Centers, Software Development and Networking within the IT Group for different projects.
•Coordinate with Business and interface between Business and IT.
PMO Framework
My responsibilities include defining the framework for project management. I am responsible for maintaining the centralized repository of all IT project. After project approval, PMO brides between IT/Business Groups and resolve all inter-departmental dependencies for the agreed project.
ITIL V3 implementation
To improve the service management, MCB decided to implement ITIL Best Practices. I was involved in the RFP development, vendor evaluation and assessment and selection. I was also the main responsible nominated person for the implementation of ITIL Best Practices from MCB along with the selected vendor.
Management Coordination
I am the sectary of Information Technology Steering committee \[ITSC\]. PMO is also responsible for all IT projects initiated by ITSC and monitor them. Coordination with all higher management committee / Groups and different board of directors within MCB Bank is also included in my responsibility.
