Fully Responsible for all activities associated with instrumentation, control & PLC/SCADA works of all Water & Wastewater facilities of the client (NWC Riyadh). Coordinate and lead all the communications regarding SCADA contracts executions within the internal team as well as the client and/or the client consultant.
Conduct evaluation and upgrading of Water and Waste water treatment plants of National Water Company (NWC) which includes but not limited to engineering study, evaluation and proposal, documents review and creating RFPs.
Reviews and supervise the issuance of the standard operating procedures. Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities. Recommend improvements and modifications whenever required.
Review and distribute all the progress reports as required.
Review, study and complete any technical support required by client.
Ensure Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy is adequately implemented in site.
Coordinate with the client, authorities, and the subcontractors for connection of Power, water and other utilities. Coordination with consultants for NWC’s related to the existing utilities. Conduct Local Staff trainings and appraisal/s supervision.
Facilitates (corrective, scheduled preventive and unscheduled/emergency) maintenance on all Electrical, Instrumentation and Control equipment in waste water treatment plant in Al Wathba plant. Respond to any emergency situation that will arise and handle the situation in orderly manner to avoid any loss of property.
Oversee planning, design and implementation of maintenance services for the waste water plant. Assess day to day plant situation, coordinate with other engineer to discuss the problem, and look for effective solutions. Resolved any complex problem that arises and make a countermeasure to prevent any reoccurrence of the issue.
Communicate with different supplier and to assist their current products as per the requirement of the plant. Identify vendors that will supply I & C equipment, and contractors that will carry out critical works on site. Coordinate with purchasing department for the smooth flow of spare parts.
Advice management on design and process improvement, propose modifications to existing Instrumentation and SCADA system.
Facilitate and manage a group of technicians, and oversee all maintenance activities. Give support to technicians in maintaining the electrical and instrument equipment, according to blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and other specifications. Make detailed report on the daily basis, enter work data on MAXO Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMs), and accomplished a technical report to support a major technical issues in the plant.
Coordinate with co-engineers, supervisor, and other technical workers to assist equipment installation. Supervise instrument technicians in calibration of instrumentation equipment that includes pressure, temperature, flow, level and control loops using built in instrument controllers. Inspect and calibrate waste water analyzer (TSS, MLSS, LDO, pH, conductivity, NH4-N and Free Cl) and Gas analyzers (H2S, CH4, CO and Hydrogen). Maintenance, repair, overhaul and calibration of pneumatic/electrical controlled valves, motors and pumps. Support electrical technician in inspection and troubleshooting electrical issues of electrical control equipment such as DOL, Soft starter and VFDs.
Perform failure analysis on all SCADA PLC and communication problems, and formulate any necessary solutions to rectify the problem. Performed replacement of PLC/RIO cards and update software and firmware if needed. Well verse on Schneider Quantum Redundant Configuration
Responsible in inspection and updating of all electrical, instrumentation and mechanical As built drawings which include but not limited to inspection of process flow diagrams, control logics and I/O list. Well verse in interpreting Electrical and instrumentation drawings.
Carry out problem solving and rectification of major problems in the site and to extend extra hours until such problems will be resolve.
Abide and strictly implement company HSE policies such as Work permit, ATEX permit and procedures at all times. Supervise technicians to optimize work output and to accomplish all PMs and corrective request as per target schedule. Trained and motivate technician to improve their skills and attitudes.
Performs as received test, inspection and several test operation for all incoming electrohydraulic servo valves and electromechanical actuators of Boeing and Airbus commercial airplanes from different airlines such as Singapore airlines, Japan airlines, China airlines and others to determine if it’s either for repair or overhaul.
Supervise technicians in their daily task to optimize availability of test equipment.
Diagnoses common and complex test failures and recommends rework to correct discrepancies.
Responsible for testing repaired and overhauled units in conformance to acceptance test procedures in Component maintenance manuals (CMM).
Responsible for maintaining the highest quality by ensuring zero defects on all units that passed final test prior to release to service, and to guarantee a 100 percent safe flights in our customers in commercial aerospace industry.
Facilitate Pre-commissioning and commissioning of all instruments, control valves and interlocks. Supervise technician in their daily task to achieve target date.
Supervise loop checking as per P&ID and facilitate functional testing/interlocking.
Supervise technician for layout of electrical and instrument cables as well as installation and commissioning of Distributed Control system (DCS), Yokogawa model.
Supervise calibrate of instruments according to standards to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function. Records calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.
Analyze failures of Fluid Dynamic Bearing Motors (FDB) and formulate proven solutions to countermeasure such failures.
Investigate and conduct scientific experiments to simulate the failures encountered in the line and make a root cause analysis.
Identify the root cause of a problem in order to create effective corrective actions that will prevent that problem from ever re-occurring.
Gather data and evidence related to the problem that may give a lead to the cause of the problem. Identify the true root cause associated with the defined problem. Identify corrective action that will prevent recurrence and will not cause further problems. Implement the recommendations and make a standard both written and oral to prevent future failure.
Monitor the percentage of failure of each part of the motor and final product. Make weekly reports address to engineering division and production manager. Utilize SPC to monitor unusual variance that may arise.
Perform line balancing and process improvement. Supervise the line to optimize the output with respect to quality standard and ensure on time delivery.
