Ensure that all documentation is completed in SAP correctly such as the Log, outlining the fault, method of repair and the time, labor and materials used in order to support timely availability of information.
Manage the timely response to all emergency breakdowns and provide prompt corrective action to ensure plant availability, thereby minimizing downtime and possibility of liquidity damages.
Develop and promote a condition based preventive maintenance culture on day to day basis by conducting troubleshooting and root cause analyses, finding solutions to reduce reactive maintenance
Coordinate the planning and execution of the shutdown maintenance of critical mechanical machinery, as per the recommendation of the OEM, and provide technical support to ensure the EHS, scope, cost, and timeline objectives are met.
Lead the preparation of monthly / annual requirements for machinery, spare parts and general materials for the mechanical unit within the plant to support timely availability of requirements as per maintenance plans and budget constraints.
Evaluate quotations provided by the procurement department to identify and provide recommendations on the most appropriate materials / machinery for the plant.
• Monitor the mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance and overhauling work activities to ensure safe and efficient application of procedures and implementation of optimal mechanical maintenance.
Hands on experience in the Erection and Commissioning of Sub stations, Generator, Electro Mechanical Systems, Plant Water System, and Effluent Treatment System, Piping, Welding, Pumping, Hydrostatic Tests, Welding NDT.
• Checking the Erection and Commissioning of above-mentioned system, using the Contract Documents (Field Quality Plans, P&ID’s, Erection Drawings, Write up & Design Philosophies, Manuals and Procedures, etc.) and International Standards.
• Client mechanical engineer at Royal African trading company Fraxion Lubricant Plant erection &commissioning as Seconding staff for six months, Guinea Conakry.
• Participate in the technical Daily Mechanical Meetings.
• Coordinate with the maintenance engineer and issue the Request for Work and the PTW.
• Witness the equipment and system functionality test.
• Trains and give guidance and tours to the staff which led to improvement.
• Ensuring safety of the people and equipment
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise a group of 60 Mechanical Technicians.
• Insure all jobs is done in a safety way.
• Supervise all welding, cutting jobs.
• Take part in preventive and accidental Maintenance.
• Supervise the operation of the mills and the steam turbines.
• Take part in developing maintenance schedules.
• Follow the maintenance of (gear box, steam turbines, welding )
• Follow assembly and disassembly of mills.
• Report to senior mechanical engineer.
