Modbus on FWEX: Product Owner
Duration - on going
The purpose of Modbus on FWEX project is to develop and release a driver update that enables third party Modbus protocol integration in the recently released NextGen BACnet Gateway, and the ongoing ME-CPU. Due to the importance and continuous customer demand, it is acknowledged that Modbus support will likely need to be delivered by way of ALC’s current generation protocol support architecture, known as the Installable Protocol Driver (IPD) environment. The functionality will include all the features that were added with the ExecB with CP Engine, and MECPU projects: Control Programs, changes for BACnet rev 12, Diagnostics and Statistics features, additional NAT routing capabilities, the ability to run control programs, monitor/control I/O on I/O Packs, and communicate on the RNet and XNet ports. There will be 2 updated device types supported for 3 channels: ALC, Carrier, and OEM. Details are included in this document.

• My role includes managing the whole testing cycle for a project/product and coordinating between teams to get a Quality Product for launch in the field of Building Automation.
• Test activities include Estimation, Test Planning, Test Design, Test Execution, Test Report, Defect Tracking etc.
• Designed Automation Test Framework.
• Using selenium web driver automating manual testcases.
• Identifying the testing Scope for the Project, as well as the test cases based on the feasibility study and tool limitations.
• Periodically update the Project status to onsite Partner and to the Manager.
• Propose Ideas for growth proposals.
• Providing the Domain and Project level training for the New Joiners in the team as well as to the other team members.
• Responsible for understanding the requirement specification and creating test artifacts accordingly.
• Responsible for coordinating with the project team present in Honeywell International, USA.
• Responsible for providing technical support to the team members.
• Responsible for raising project risk to the concerned project team.

Job involves Handling Service related issues in BMS in the site. Testing and Commissioning of New project in BMS. Integration of third party systems like DG, VFD, CHILLER using open protocols (Modbus, BACnet).

Responsibilities:
•Integration of chiller translator (soft point monitor) using MODBUS-RTU protocol.
•Integration of UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) soft points using MODBUS-RTU protocol.
•By using HMI-Display Builder as part of Honeywell EBI(Enterprise Building Integrator) developed front end graphics for UPS, Chiller soft points monitoring values, AHU-Templates and UPS-Templates.
•Prepare Air Handling Unit logic in Honeywell ComfortPoint studio and commissioned in site.
•Integration of UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) softpoints using MODBUS-RTU protocol.
•Co-ordination and monitoring the given Job on day-to-day basis, planning and submitting weekly schedule & progress report to the Management. Attending meetings.
