2007-2012 Senior lead Interior design Associate, HOK Canada. Site based project in Doha, Qatar. 5 hotels of 50 stories each. A total of 1400 rooms and 26 F&B outlets. Management of five designers from 2007 to 2012. The Shangri-la, The Rotana and local brand The Merweb, implementation of the design package with autonomy to make corrective design changes due to site constraints and operator/client requests. This included Shangri-la redesign of all the hotel bedrooms and FF&E package and two complete restaurants. I was also involved in all site and coordination meetings with all disciplines to protect manage the interior design intent.

2004-2007 Interior design director of my own company, and management of 3 design staff. Involved with hotel and leisure. 600 seat restaurant and Conference centre, Johannesburg. Full design package and project management control of 450 seat "Catwalk" restaurant/nightclub with full fashion ramp facilities, Johannesburg. Concept work, with renderings and perspectives for other design companies. Hardscape designer for Landmark Studios, Landscape architects, projects included, Old town, Burj, Dubai. Fairmont Hotel and residence, Golden Mile, The Palm, Dubai.
Architectural work included 2 large private game lodge homes, including all project management.

2002-2004 Design associate and joint office manager, Wilson Associates, Control of architectural interior design and on site co-ordination for the Royal Mirage Hotel, phase II, Dubai. ( $750 million) . Project leader, under James Cary, for bedroom design for the 1200 bed "Atlantis Hotel" the Palm, Dubai. ( $1 billion), I was offered on site project management control for the interior implementation co-ordination for the duration of the contract, but could not take up the offer.

1996-2000 Partner, Blacksmith Interior Design Consultants, involved in major retail, hotel, leisure, and gaming casino projects.
Responsible for managing an office of 20 design staff, controlling the technical content of all the production drawings. Producing hand sketches and finished coloured presentation for client approval. Control and Project management of the larger contracts.
