During my work with Ana Aqra I developed and wrote the procurement processes for the association in line with the Donor’s procurement guidelines with the following responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating with operations the procurement activities of field requirements
Managing the process of issuing bids and collection of all quotations in a timely manner
Supervising the bid matrix and selection of vendors
Issuing contracts for vendors for materials and services supply after selection
Sourcing the market and getting connected constantly for practicing the most efficient procurement process with the best prices and logistics methods
Managing the accounts payable of all procured materials and services and making sure payments are done on time to ensure the continuity of material’s and service’s delivery
Supervising the procurement process to ensure the procured materials and/or services are done in line with the association and donor’s guidelines and in best quality needed
Managed and monitored updating the procurement schedule and audit trail
Lead the sourcing process of required materials, services and equipment’s
Managed the procurement team in processing project’s material requests and procuring required items with the best prices in a timely manner and quality standards
Oversaw the delivery process of all materials to project site
Supervised all technical submittals and approvals with client prior placing orders
Run the weekly Client-Contractor’s procurement meetings
During my work with Nesma Trading, I achieved to increase the company’s profit by reducing the cost of the procured materials, centralize the Procurement Department and share in developing an Oracle System with the following responsibilities:
Worked closely with Operations and Project Manager Groups in order to clearly define the categories of equipment, materials, and services required for each major project.
Managed the shipping process through several freight forwarders
Maintained a strong database of subcontractors and suppliers with good relationships to ensure adequate sources for all projects with the best prices
Supported the Fleet Department in sourcing for spare parts and maintenance
Recruited and trained new procurement staff in the team as needed
Performed KPI appraisal for procurement staff members on yearly basis to evaluate and monitor the set targets if achieved and performance is at company’s quality level
Coordinated with Finance Department the vendor’s payments and L/C issuance
Evaluated Supplier’s and Subcontractor’s performances periodically to assure the quality level is maintained and delivered up-to the standards and requirements
Prepared procurement forecast and plan in relation with project’s Schedule
Prepared research works such as market studies, price/cost analysis, and developing substitute/alternate materials
Negotiated with suppliers the best prices and terms, prepared comparison sheets prior selection of vendors and Subcontractors.
Managed all the foreign procurement and manufacturing of Projects’ Furniture
Issued RFQ’s to suppliers and prepared comparison sheets before PO issuance
Followed-up materials’ supply in project sites
Maintained ERP efficiency and updated the system to ensure the smooth flow of data
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Lebanese American University (LAU)
