Identification and primary treatment of workplace injury and illness.
Attend to emergency and sick calls.
Acquire proper medical history pertaining employees medical complaints and check vital signs.
Assess and administer first aid to sick or injured employee(s), and arrange employee treatment by a physician when required.
Assist the physician in performing health examination and treatment.
Administer medication as ordered by a physician.
Arrange referral and transport of patient to outside care provider and accompany employee(s) if required.
Follow-up and discuss with physician(s) the patient progress or therapy.
Ensure all medical equipments in the clinic and ambulance are properly working.
Keep detailed and accurate records of all visits to the clinic and follow up on the status of employee(s) after sickness/lost time accident.
Help in maintain confidentiality of employees medical records.
Guide/ advise the employees in maintaining their physical and psychological well being.
Help in carrying out the health maintenance program of the company.
Participate in conducting in-house training programs.
Carry out visit to help identify health hazard in the workplace.
Advise the physician about the status of medicine supplies and stocks in the clinic.
Works with Human Resources in the management of sick leave and safe return to work programs.
Giving out health/ medical orientation for newly joined employee(s), as well as educating them regarding health insurance policies and procedures.
Maintains awareness regarding workplace hygiene and sterility/ cleanliness of medical instruments and equipments.
Participate in the provision / co-ordination of individual nursing care of patients and contribute to the continuing development of nursing staff within the planned Orthopaedic Ward.
Provide care to patients in accordance with the philosophy of care within the unit, ensuring that values and beliefs are upheld.
Participate in quality initiatives with the aim of improving patient care.
Ensure that all policies, protocols and procedures are adhered to by all staff, any incidents or occurrences to be reported to the Ward Manager as soon as possible.
Accept responsibility for the management of a group of patients, ensuring the service to patients is maintained at a high standard in accordance with and ward policies and procedures.
Assist, with supervision, in the preparation of information/educational resources for patients and relatives in hospital, aiming to encourage independence and promote health for patients.
Provides extensive assistance and monitoring of patients and clients
Performs Assessment of further needs of clients which includes manipulations and insertions of IV's, NG tubes, urinary catheters, do gastric lavage.
Performs extended support beyond normal operations and responsibility as required.
Plan, deliver, assess and evaluate individualised patient care in accordance with the model of care used.
Involve carer/relative during all stages of patient’s admission and discharge.
Promote patient participation in care, assisting others to identify and meet the learning needs of patients and their relatives whilst in hospital.
Supervise junior nurses, provide monitoring, motivate the staff and delegate authority.
Assist physicians with medical procedures, direct patient care, ensure patients’ privacy and comfort, chart patients’ progress and often act as liaisons between doctors and patients’ family members.
Conduct training for junior members and write work performance evaluations.
