Worked on the development of the Sculpt The Future Website, including a strategy to restructure the design and flow of information for users, and ways to revitalise the blogs and social media pages to the companies advantage. Took charge of content and image updates, making sure the website is always up to date and looking it's best.
Teaching English to Korean students aged between 6 and 15. Teaching art classes evenings and weekends.
Worked on initial stages of logo design, creating the basis of the branding assets for the Straw Wars campaign. Placed in charge of maintaining the strawwars.org website, updating content at least once a week with new supporters, checking all information is correct and making sure the website looks its best. Supported the project manager in constructing a 12-month campaign strategy, involving ways to expand the campaign on an international scale using an updated website and viral campaigns. Pushed the campaign out to our followers via various social media sites, and liaised with journalists at many major British newspapers to market the campaign to the public.

The only graphic designer within MYOO, working along side the art director to create in house illustrations, campaign logos, educational animations, flyers, web-based competitions and email mailers. Liaising with contacts to request photography and information for certain projects. Working closely with the editors, responsible for content sourcing, and uploading to the MYOO and Plastiki websites. Using wordpress and HTML to create engaging articles for our audience. Helped the team move MYOO over to a new site called Mpact. Managing and strategizing MYOO and Plastiki social media channels; working with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr and Spotify to create a stimulating and effective platform for our audience.

Created a blog with HTML using current brand guidelines which seamlessly fit into the companies existing website. Worked with the managing director to optimised the blogging system, creating a successful blog and social media structure that would allow the company to reach a greater audience, and help promote its products. Efficiently revised marketing assets currently implemented in store, producing design elements such as loyalty cards, menus, training cards and posters.
Was asked to create a set of 90 illustrated aliens for a research project by Dr Andrew Nevins, Dr Katrin Skoruppa and their team at UCL. These illustrations where used in the development of a game which allowed the team to investigated the ways in which children view and identify colours. Was placed on the Rubicon marketing campaign at Method Two. I sat in on meetings, took notes and worked within a team to design attractive juice-sampling stands which would sit in major supermarkets across the UK. This was a 2 week placement.
Helped with the day to day running of the studio, greeting clients, answering phone calls, creating invites for Christmas parties and postcard holders for clients. During my time at Jelly I was able to see how an illustration agency works, learning new skills which allowed me to push myself as an illustrator.
With a friend, created and branded a cupcake business which ran from home as a means of income during down time from university. We sold cupcakes for special occasions and built up a client base. We also set up a pop up stall at the New Malden Summer Fair in 2009. The business was closed due to other commitments however I still bake for clients every now and then.
Employed by Sitel to work as a customer service agent for the T-Mobile Campaign. My role was to answer calls in a friendly and diplomatic way, assisting customers with any queries they may have regarding their call plan, bill chargers or handsets. Was given two weeks training prior to taking the job and was regularly tested to check my knowledge was always correct and implemented to the highest standard. Had access to the T-Mobile internal intranet and Excalibur systems. Taught customers how to use their handsets and operate certain features. Discussed ways in which customers could reduce their bills and always made sure that if I could not find the answer to any of their queries that they received a call back as soon as possible. Was made redundant after T-Mobile pulled out of the Sitel call centres.
Worked on the production of Le Tour De France for a major sports channel in the UK. I was placed in charge of booking accommodation for for crew members and presenters at every major stop of the tour in France. Had the opportunity to sit in on meetings involving up and coming programs for various TV stations, including the early planning stages of celebrity poker.
Placed within the finance department of Mentorn, I handled paperwork regarding payments for various different television programs. I dealt with and organised copies of rushes and gathered research for an upcoming program. Received and made phone calls concerning company work. My placement here was cut short as they moved me to their sister company Sunset + Vine.
Given the job of technician in the media department within Coombe Girls’ school, assisting the three media studies teachers with various technological based jobs. Taught students (aged 15 - 18) how to use Mac computers and various creative editing programs such as Photoshop, illustrator, imovie and garageband for their projects and coursework, setting up lunch time and after school clubs for people who wanted to learn more. I also word-processed guidelines and created media related display boards and graphics, which were placed on public display during school open days and exhibitions. This role developed my public speaking, enabling me to present with ease and confidence.
Won a UK national competition to experience a week in the ITV studios in London. Shadowed an evening news journalist, following them on location to film segments for the following nights show, and watched the production for the ITV news.
Assisted the teacher in charge of a reception class (aged 4 to 5) with classroom and recess duties. Took part in language, reading, music and art lessons, supporting students with their ideas and helping them with the use of materials, and instruments. Made sure that each child felt welcome within the class and that they all played fair. During recess I stood outside with the class keeping an eye on the children as they played making sure no one was being treated unfairly and then called them in at the end of break.
Spent the day working on the Live Rezan Music show, which allowed me to experience the workings of a TV studio, from behind the scenes, to filming. Assisted the presenter with any needs she had, watching the production being filmed and helping with ideas for segments. Got the chance to introduce myself and present a few songs on TV.
Received a scholarship upon joining the course due to the standard of my portfolio.
